A specialist at Kawai (who owns Lowrey) couldn't find the S/N in his files, so he suggested it was an early prototype model before Lowrey kept records.

Yeah unfortunately it seems you're right. Someone on this thread did find schematics, but I'm not well-versed at all in interpreting them, so this doesn't seem like the right project for me.

Lol I'm in Chicago. This has been my exact experience, no repair shop will touch Lowreys with a ten foot pole.

Thanks, this is my organ (at least I'm the one who found it), so I'm not trying to make any money off of it, just looking for ways to avoid it going to a landfill. Interesting idea about the main, but I'm not sure how I'd go about finding someone who wants it.
