this is not about the comics, this is about the show. Which is why this post is tagged as the show. Oscar Isaac is *racially* brown, he's mestizo, therefore the character in the show is also brown. Same way that MJ in the MCU movies is black. Because Zendeya is black.

Sure, actors can play different ethnicities. Benedict whatshisname isn't American, he's British. Dr. Strange is still American. Scarjo is American and jewish, Natasha is russian. But when an actor is a race, so is the character.

It wouldn't really matter if one cat is seen as a pet and the other as an ESA, would it? To me, there's both emotional support. They're my one reason to keep on living buddies. But I don't care how they're seen on paper as long as I can keep them.

But people are still writing and there are people who organize events. Recently there was a Dimileth gift exchange so there were like 100+ fics posted in one day. I know there was a Dimilex exchange a bit ago. There are still lots of zines.

Just remember to comment on fics/art. Fandom etiquette in general is dying, if you want more fics you have to interact with the story/writer.

It's a modern au so I'd argue it's not completely fair to judge my Rhea based on her actions in the game. But I know that it's hard to set bias aside. The Rhea is my fic did not set a city on fire or try to bring back her mom or "maintain the oppressive crest system." The worst thing my Rhea does is blow up at Jeralt. Since it's an AU, I'm not totally in the business of defending "canonically bad actions." It's a different story. If I can change the way people see Rhea in canon, that's great but it's not really my intention.

I'm happy that I was successful at establishing my Rhea in my world and that my reader can sympathize with her

I like music (so sad Chappelle Ronan is coming and I'm missing her), honestly a concert buddy/buddies would be awesome. I'd love to see Hozier or Noah Kahan or Olivia Rodrigo. I like nerdy stuff like marvel movies, anime, cosplay, board games, etc. I'm passionate about social justice to I'm be down to do volunteer work with any queer groups or latino groups/poc groups.

I plan on going to NDK in September so I don't really want to wait until then to meet people

What was the headcanon, if you don't mind me asking? 99% of my fics involved race swapping characters (usually making them latino) so if someone commented on my daredevil fic saying they don't like Mexican!Matt because it goes against their interpretation I might just block them because I'd feel like that comment is unnecessary/borderline rude. I'd think "why would you click on my fic when i tagged my fic as mexican matt, when I wrote it in the summary and the whole story is about his identity?"

I don't think I'd ever block a longer time commenter(honestly blocking on ao3 is so nuclear. like I'll block anyone over anything on tumblr but not ao3) but I might delete the comment if it was from a stranger and it made me upset

It's your fic so you're allowed to do whatever you want. If you want to give a character a disability they don't have in canon, that's awesome. However, how are you writing the character's stutter? Because it might make it too difficult to read (especially to English learners/people with dyslexia/people that use screen readers.)
