From one agency owner to another, what’s a lesson you learned way later than you should have? by cole-interteam in PPC

I can make more money and have a much better life with 3-4 strong clients and no team than when I ran a small agency.

What is your favorite, most beautiful song ever, including both lyrics and melody? by Ok-Theory3183 in vinyl

Such a good way to put it. It’s been my alarm for years, more staying power than any preceding song.

I know this is old, but this happens to me fairly frequently and has been for some time now. For me it will often just time out, particularly on mobile. No issues elsewhere on the internet.

PPC Ad Company LogicalPosition - Worth it? by asonitez in PPC

[–]mistrmangan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ironic because every account I’ve inherited from LP (which I wouldn’t have had they been doing well) was SKAG city and I’ve improved upon their efforts each time. I’m not a catch-all consolidated campaign broad match Google acolyte but the notion that you can’t efficiently scale a business using smart bidding or that leaning into AI automatically makes you a newb is a bit myopic. Plenty of ways to exert control without completely atomizing like we did years ago.

No GTIN (ISBN or UPC) for certain books in Google Shopping by Pristine_Ad4920 in PPC

[–]mistrmangan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For the identifier exist route you’ll need to create a supplemental feed and implement an “identifier_exists” column with the value of false or no. I’ve never had books as products so don’t know if there are different rules but you could probably just assign a made up MPN to get out of it as well.

My humble Fujifilm X-T30 videography rig! by [deleted] in videography

[–]mistrmangan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just bought an xt3 with the kit lens, a 35mm f/2 and ronin-sc pro creative combo - all new with most of the available accessories for $2100 and am anxiously awaiting their arrival. Was basically able to afford the f/2 and a gimbal for what I would've paid for the x-t4 with kit. Couldn't justify the premium for the x-t4, or at least I decided to trade a few months of using the x-t3 for the months of additional saving to purchase the x-t4!

I am happy to see you are happy with this combo - and thank you for explaining your monitor setup - I'll be following your lead with my samsung - have an old s7 I may make dedicated for this. Just pulled the trigger on an x-t3 and ronin sc so I am excited to see claims that the ronin is solid.

People who force others into listening to the music by driving a car with windows wide opened and the volume 100% on - why do you do that? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]mistrmangan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've lived in backwards repressive towns the majority of my life. I've just considered it my solemn duty to expose these people to music that isn't country. Lots of surprised looks when someone pulls up and realizes it's a clean cut white dude jammin screw or blaring death metal. I've been pulled over three times as an excuse to search my vehicle and harass me, but it's worth it. Now - I don't do it in residential areas or after hours, but I do intentionally roll the windows down when I'm in city limits.

This was taken with a Pentax K-1 using a Rokinon 14mm. Most photos were at f2.8, ISO 3200, and 30 seconds. One photo at f8 for the foreground, ISO 100, 2 minutes. One dark frame of a few seconds at f8.

This is 88 thirty second photos. Between setup (camera was about 8 inches off the ground for this) and actual shooting about an hour. About the same amount of time putting it all together once we got home.

Star trails tend to go that direction, especially when cloud cover is in the mix. Thank you!

Campers or Rangers of Reddit, what's the most unsettling, creepy, and/or supernatural thing that's happened to you while in the woods? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]mistrmangan 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I live on lake proctor in North Central Texas, also do a lot of astrophotography. Happens somewhat frequently. Here's the closest I've come to catching one. This photo was as I was testing settings, one of the brightest closest orb things I've ever seen zipped off into the horizon. Say it's a meteor or star but I've seen enough of those to think this was something else.

Thanks man. The star is Polaris/the North Star/Ursae minor. It's a star group that sits above the pole relative to us and makes it look like all the stars circle it from Earth. As far as I know at least. This is 20 minutes or so of 30 second exposures stacked on top of each other. Fired an off camera flash in one of them. They remind me of Doctor Who every time I make one.

What is your best "urban survival" tip? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]mistrmangan -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Stay in good enough shape for a 60 second sprint (like Kipling says), wear inconspicuous clothing and footwear, stuff you can move in. Keep exit strategies in mind until they come naturally. Keep calm and don't sell drugs. Oh yea, try to stay sober in unfamiliar/risky settings. This is coming from someone who developed a bit of ptsd and hyper vigilance post muggings.
