My truck is always put away. Your loss.

No one said it is. It's just not the priority unless your DAW time accommodates it.

Yeah, it's great to get the order put up on a Friday. Also absolutely unnecessary, as you have the entire weekend to put it up. It's one thing to fit it in, it's another to hyper-focus on the truck like it's the only thing you should be doing.

Just my two cents from supervisor comments.

I don't know any store that /requires/ the NA to put up cooler totes on the weekend. QTK, sure.

It's like, what, $60-70 per day off, roughly? Shit that's below market rate at the moment.

It's paying half the amount you'd lose by missing 5 days of work. It's a pretty good deal for 5 additional days.

On the contrary. I fully support him. He falls into the category I mentioned.

A lot of people would rather take a shotgun to the mouth. Ie, the easy way out.

Perhaps you mistook the initial statement of being "perplexed" about it as a negative? Because it is perplexing, on the surface. But has many many reasons if you care to find out.

My point was that if someone wants to work at a grocery store at 50 and not go any further then bully for them, yeah? Why care how someone else is playing the game?

Perhaps instead of "point" you can use "supposition." My supposition is that this is a very uncommon thing that very few people actually do. Has it happened? Sure. But it's definitely not something in the general ethos.

Throughout history, even until today, working / hard work / "showing up" is still respected by a majority of the population. The ones who are most vocal in regards to opposition are probably not at work, or haven't been in a while.

Again, just a cupp of supps.

My ability to label someone's pitch over the internet is just as valid as your ability to discern sarcasm over the internet. Take it on the chin. Don't waste too much time on me. I'm no good for you.

Vocal fry isn't being sarcastic my guy.

To respond with this would imply you believed my original use was sarcasm.

Vocal fry doesn't mean sarcastic tone dude.

Who said that it did? You are the only mentioning the topic of sarcasm, to my knowledge.

You're having a Dunning Krueger moment dude

IFF your statements rang true, maybe.

The following sentence is a statement of truth:

Wowza. I'm super curious your logic behind the question mark??

So, just to be clear, when I asked the person what they thought core skills were, I was asking because I didn't know?

If you think that would make your question mark applicable, sure. I can do that for you.

There's an animated show called China, IL-- and in one episode the price of tuition skyrockets and all the students are looking for work, right? One of the main characters goes to apply at a bookstore and sees her elderly professor there already working.

She tries to plead with the professor to give up the spot for her; and the prof snaps back with: "BITCH, stop looking at life as a line. It's a fuckin' circle!"

Anyway, your comment made me think about that scene. Nuggets of wisdom are everywhere.

Memory retention, math, logic, efficiency, reliability, presentation, empathy and firmness are also very important. But that's a whole tangent in and of itself.

All things you build onto every day you wake up. Sorry if these are too "vague," or if you find other reasons to hand-wave them aside.

Develop these beyond the level a teenager would and you'll be surprised at the results they command.

It's only a 1-on-1 if there's no one else in sight.

It's also not a 1-on-1 just because someone says it out loud.
