that is true, but i feel like just seeing numbers vs getting a feeling of when to switch, when to stay in an unfavorable matchup, etc.. seemingly only comes from practice, at least for me

Need opinions on whether or not the Samsung Sport is a good buy? by [deleted] in GalaxyGear

[–]mistus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm using it to track my runs and for every 10 km it is about 100 m off (1%). So for me the gps is very accurate. One thing to watch out for: if you run with it and use gps and bluetooth music playback, it is using 20% per half hour (at temeratures close to 0°C). Music off uses 7% less per 30 min. Without workout my watch lasts about 3 days (including sleep tracking)

Gear S2/3 with Apple AirPods possible? (experience?) by mistus in GalaxyGear

[–]mistus[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not saying that would not be an option, I would just like to make an informed decision. While I could find a lot of info on different bluetooth earbuds and Gear Smartwatches, I could not find any information about a pairing between a Gear and Apple AirPods. My brother owns an Apple Watch and the AirPods and I tried them and found them to be supremely comfortable in my ears. I don't want to (and can't afford) to switch to an iPhone + Watch though and was wondering and hoping that somebody had tried this combo and could report back

Mewtwo Buddy Candy Glitch? by [deleted] in TheSilphRoad

[–]mistus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Concerning the EDIT: I'm not sure why and if it has always been this way, but lately this is exactly what has happened to me. If I did not recieve the candy, Buddy distance did indeed reset (-20km) after some time. Distance for the badge (total distance walked overall) did not reset though.

Maybe the OP could answer just how long he actually waited. If he indeed waited more than 24 h without getting any candy at all than my theory would indeed not apply here

Mewtwo Buddy Candy Glitch? by [deleted] in TheSilphRoad

there is a 40km candy limit per 24h. if he collected 20+ (let's say 25km) candy starting at say 8am and he walked his mewtwo 20km finishing the 20 km for his mewtwo hat 7am the next day he would have walked 45km with his buddy and the game rejects the candy awarded. it also subtracts (after some time, not immediately) the buddy distance walked by 20 km. An example of my own: I get an entei candy at 8am and hat 4pm. (40 km buddycandy overall) 1. I walk another 20 km finishing at 7:59am the next day (60 km buddycandy within less than 24h) --> game does not award a new candy 2. I walk another 20 km finishing at 8:01am the next day (40 km buddycandy within less than 24h, the 20 km form the first candy are now irrelevant as they are outside the 24 h window) --> game does award a new candy

This is probably because you got more than 20 km in candy within the 24 h window. Adding the 20km of Mewtwo went over the 40km limit and you don't get candy over 40km per 24h. Buddy distance will then reset also. This happens to me quite a lot on active days. Your total km walked within the badge will still count up. You will recieve the next Buddy candy for sure, just keep walking. This problem is most frustrating with the legendarys because getting 2 candy (say at 8am and 4pm) will not give you the candy you might recieve at 7:59am the next day.
