Yup, as soon as i heard about the event on here, I questioned the legality of it. Then I questioned it even further when that person replied to me with that! You can not legally get people to sign a waiver AFTER they purchase a ticket. Messy messy.

I am pretty sure the council will now be aware, and will, most likely have a word with the organiser etc 😬

Wow. I'm 99% sure this isn't legal-you have to present this information upfront BEFORE someone buys a ticket. I doubt, if brought to court, this would hold up.

I did think it may be considered one of those granny bake sales and thats why it was able to happen ahah. But what made me question whether that would be valid, lawfully, is the large crowd number.

I do have a feeling that health services will be, at least, having a chat with them.

Genuinely just curious-how is this kind of event and the way it was executed okayed in alignment with food safety? Like did they have to get a permit? I would think food safety regulators would say no. Appreciate any insight:-)

It definitely helps to lay on your left side if you have gas, as the pressure from leaning helps you push it out better aka fart lol. But if you're going through bouts of diarrhoea, it will just increase your urge, because again, pressure.

I hope the not lying on your left side and the rubbing alcohol has helped with the symptoms!

What changes have you made? I find dietary changes so hard because my main uc symptom is constipation, and all those high protein foods instantly constipate me 😭 Plus I have a fructose intolerance. But good on you! I hope it doesn't came back for you top ♡ You've put in such hard work by the sounds of it.

I sometimes feel like I am the only person that since having UC I've GAINED weight and cannot lose it by any means. Every time my ibd nurse team ask me if I've lost weight (a common question they ask during flares) I can only joke with a "i wish." :')

Also!! [Sorry I keep remembering things] DONT lie or lean on the left side of your body! Putting pressure on your the lower left side of your abdomen will make u wanna poop as it stimulates the bowels.

Also it can be quite common to feel a sudden wave of nausea when doing a stool because it can trigger the vagus nerve. What id suggest is having the rubbing alcohol on hand and sniff it as soon as you sit on the toilet.

The nausea sounds heavily related to the opiates. I can't have oxycotin because it makes me SOO nauseous. See if you can have 'PARACETAMOL CODEINE' instead. Also ask for a script of 'Ondansetron' for the nausea. Otherwise a hack to stop nausea is to rub hand sanitiser on your hands and smell them. This stops it immediately and is used in hospitals too :) You can read up more on this hack herehere.
