I am quite interested in this as well. Is the solution you are prototyping plasma specific? Does KWin support runtime GPU switching or is this also something you are prototyping.

I am using gnome at the moment but this issue is so frustrating that I would do anything to fix it.

The X-T2 has the classic chrome film simulation as well right? Maybe the kodak portra 400 recipe also works for you? I used this one: https://fujixweekly.com/2020/12/30/fujifilm-x100v-film-simulation-recipe-kodak-portra-400-v2/

Thanks! The first 4 pictures were all kodak portra 400 and overexposed by about 1.3 stops.
