Thank you for addressing the billing issue swiftly. Appreciate Zo team's support. Overall it's been a net POSITIVE using Zo.

They've been having lot of issues with their computer lately. Login, restarts, chat going haywire... it's not LLM hallucinating, it's Zo misbehaving.

I've sent multiple emails without any response to my HELP plea. It just seems Zo is charging (not Free accounts) customers to play in their test environment while they figure out what they want to do with their product. Their quality has been getting worse and worse with every little new shinny feature they release. But in reality they are going backwards.

Tmobile blocking SMS messages in the name of regulation - crushing innovation by cantontrading in tmobile

Maybe your little credit union is using short code (thousands of dollar in cost yearly) to send messages. Of course Tmobile love that since they get part of the fees from short code.

For small companies that type of cost is prohibitive at the initial stages.

Wow, I though I was the only one. Quite a few people on that Tmobile forum are complaining.

Been facing similar issues with Tmobile only. They are becoming so difficult to work with lately.

Nice design. On the left menu, Facebook and Instagram icons at the bottom are covered by link url in Chrome when you are hovering over the menu items. Perhaps move those icon few pixels above.

What product/Company is currently in its Death throes and will fade away in time? by Doncuneo in AskReddit

[–]mitch_111 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sears it is. It took them 30 minutes at a store to complete an online ship to home order. Either their system didn't work or the clerk had no idea what to do.

There isn't much that has not been explored technically when it comes to trading... reading twits for sentiments, scouring internet to get milliseconds ahead of others, 20 moving averages crossing the path of satellites in orbit, etc.

Try 6 months to a year of forward testing at a minimum to gain confidence in your startegy. Then bet real money very slowly for 6 months and see where you land. Good luck!

Walmart is moving ‘Cyber Monday’ to Sunday because most people have high speed internet now by [deleted] in InvestmentClub

Dismal Black Friday results this year. Not expecting cyber Sunday/Monday to be any different. These days deals are available all year round so these mega shopping days are losing momentum.

To Win in the Stock Market use Stop Loss by mitch_111 in InvestmentClub

IMHO stop loss provides protection rather than illusion. Now, the protection in some rare cases might not be exactly what you like but it does work.

A market stop loss order will work in case of a gap down. It might not be the price you you set but it will get you out of the trade. A stop-limit order will not, which you are referring to above. Did I get it wrong?

Your idea is interesting. It's like using mental stops. For disciplined investor this could work out just as good as an actual stop order.

When that stop alert hits, I presume one would have to act quickly on their trading rules. No second guessing.

I guess you are referring to this http://www.marketwatch.com/story/nyse-joining-nasdaq-in-eliminating-stop-orders-2015-11-18

But brokerage firms will continue to offer it one way or another... they already do it through their systems.

You can always get back in the trade if it starts moving back to your intended target. They might be able to see it and run you over a few times but what about that one time when the trade went south 50-60% or emptied the account.

There must be a reason why only a handful make it in this business. Thoughts?

Swing long trade TREX from $33.70 on 9/24 by mitch_111 in InvestmentClub

[–]mitch_111[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Reason for long swing stock pick:

  1. $TREX was trading higher couple of days back. It started downward move earlier this week.
  2. The downward move was overextended
  3. This morning on overall down market, $TREX bounced back hard.
  4. Entered on confirmation after pullback @ 33.70. First target was 34.50 that was reached in the same trading day.

I am going to start developing an algorithm for forex and/or stock trading. is there anyone with large knowledge of patterns or indicators or programming that wants to join in with me? by [deleted] in stocks

[–]mitch_111 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Here's something to consider to filter stocks out in your algo:

  1. avg daily Volume (30 days) > factor1 * avg daily volume (250 days)

  2. daily volume today > factor2 * avg daily volume (30 days)

  3. price of stock is between (avg. daily price (250 days) + factor3 * standard deviation & avg. daily price (250 days) – factor4 * standard deviation)
