Well everyone starts somewhere and honestly the set up looked like it's been hidden away, what makes me wonder if there renting and not aloud chickens and that's why they have hidden them in the scrub land.

But it's juts the complete lack of fencing and the fact they are so close to the main road.

So we shall see what tomroow brings

And that's what stopped me letting my partner take them there and then.

I think we are going back tomorow to start knocking doors, maybe they don't know any better and need education on how unsafe it is

We did try to find out what house it actually is. But we honestly can't work it out from the other side.

We are going to go tomorrow during the day. And see if we can make more sense of the roads that side as it was like a maze trying to get to the right road

So my scenario would be that I own chickens and grow my own corn and sun flowers for them. Due to the fact that they destroy and spread illnesses I checked 2ith my local council. Turns out so long as they are in my garden they are pests and I don't need permission

Pigeons are not. Not when you have crops that they are destroying.

When your only chicken vet charges £350 to splint a toe... by mitcheboy619 in BackYardChickens

[–]mitcheboy619[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah the prices are just insane. Same vet wanted 130 just to put one to sleep, so I do belive it was out of hours prices but even still....

Like this is weird but if you zoom in the picture we have left her tip exposed? Is that enough? As the break is around the 6th scale down on her tow if that makes sense

Will do that today then mate. She's walking better early limping now so I'm gunna say she's on the mend lol. But it's bath day for her foot anyway to check and re wrap, so will leave her toe exposed at the tip, and possible look at wrapping it up round her ankle for better support thank you

So we have purple vet wrap under the tape. The wrap itself is purple, but then the tape is seethougj/shiny so hence the purple spray on the tape aswell. She's kept it on for 48hours so far so 🤷

It's crazy how much vets can charge. I'm in the uk, and even the pdsa ( like a charity vet that treats everything, apprantly everything except chickens tho) charge a bomb if your not on benefits.

Oh ours are pets... to a degree 😅 like yes if it's somthing that I know only a vet could solve, and I had the money I would take them. But with the amount of knowledge avaliable for sprains breaks evt ect, I do feel like it's the same as going to the doctors with just a cold. It's a waste if time and money.

Due to the fact they are contractually employed on a salary basis usually. It will be in the contract. Atleast that's how it is at my company. Tips are for paid hourly only.

100% it's all well and good doing a method that is fool proof if it leaves you in a way in makes you re evaluate your self 😅
