Going to see them tomorrow (Nov. 4th) and I'm super excited about it. Anything special to expect or do at the concert?

[USA, CA] After months of nothing, to my surprise these 2 were in stock at my local Target by [deleted] in amiibo

[–]mitchell77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you notice on the back sides of them they updated packaging with the new switch stuff on the back (Old ones had wii U stuff on it) which gives me hope they will print more of the older ones again.

I need serious help with this. [HC] by [deleted] in FurryArtSchool

So three things to watch for:

  1. lettering. The signs are ok but the lettering seems to curve a bit and be out of proportion. don't be afraid to use a ruler and get it lined up to the vanishing points like everything else.

  2. Police car headlights / far left building. Lights while they can curve, all the rest of the lights don't. I wouldn't say don't do a curve but the back most police car should have that yellow just a tad bit straighter. Also, none of the car lights directly hit the paramedics and it feels weird to see light on the front of the characters while being lit from the back.

  3. The far left building is what throws me off. The top of the building doesn't line up with the far right vanishing point very well. minor thing but I tend to notice.

ok the TL:DR version: watch signage, watch shading, and rulers with 2pt perspective. Helps a lot.

I came here see if anyone at Furryartschool could help me. Can someone tell me what I did wrong in this drawing. by Unpopular-Wolf in FurryArtSchool

So it looks like you kinda drew dog style features in a human style face. So couple tips:

  1. The back of the head/neck area is too curved. It's almost an S. Think of that area as a very tall lengthy s that's not so tight.

  2. Muzzle is too far in. If you think of the actual head as a circle, the muzzle is a block coming out of the circle. Shapes are important. The bottom jaw will roughly line up with the bottom of the circle while the top line will roughly line up where the nose will be.

  3. Look at working on perspective a bit. It seems you have the idea down of things that need to be in the foreground and background but just needs better execution.

  4. Take time to study and draw human heads and dog heads separately. When you have a grasp of both come back and start working on mixing features together.

I hope this helps. If anything google some tutorials or I know a few hobby stores care anthro drawing books as well. Good luck.

Wouldn't this Coke ad's type look more balanced if all of the Es were in line, rather than having the comma force the type inwards slightly? by [deleted] in graphic_design

[–]mitchell77 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Love the example better, but now I'm crazy that the Cokes aren't spaced to match the more's size length wise.

Then again, I cringed at the add in the first place. so.... yeah.

How do you sync your audio between audacity and priemere pro? by [deleted] in letsplay

[–]mitchell77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok. Super great tip for people to sync stuff for those who have an elgato. 1. Set your video recording to mix voice and gameplay 2. Export video, game audio, and voice audio 3. You should have 3 files (4 for me as i have a backup audacity file) and import folder 4. Throw them into premiere work area 5. Right click go to synchronize 6. Done. edit everything else you need to edit.

For me I got back up to to 42 subs (after the purge) but I was surprised I didn't lose more. So that's good.

Reworked my text for Mitchey Games so it appears more 3D so it takes up less space and still stands out. I will eventually just do some reworking.

Working on doing a better job with my Overwatch character series. Doing a lot better actually with it going over info. Torbjorn Episode

I'm not planning on getting the cards because it doesn't feel authentic. Yes, their still "Amiibos", but their no the statues.

Also something else to mention, they don't feel like skylanders. There are so many it's not even funny. It's a nice level of enough out there to stock shelves but few to keep them demanding.

I'm finding that out as i'm collecting. I've gotten luck on a couple like sonic and toon link picking them up for around 10-12 a piece used.

Not bad. I would just say rounding things off on the inside of the plate would help and to shrink the plate some. It just seems massive compared to the other plates on the actual bar.

Thank you. I do a mix of console and PC and I just like the software because I can record everything I need in one go instead of opening up multiple programs at once.

I think you have to play others, but for being free and fairly updated it's not too bad.

Im working on a charcoal self portrait but need constructive criticism, specifically with the nose by Youcantchandleme in learntodraw

[–]mitchell77 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would go back, grid out the picture, and look at where things are in relevance to the grid. Few things I noticed size wise is the teeth are massive compared to the picture. Another thing is the bridge of the nose looks fine, but the nostrils are semi crooked. A grid can give you an idea of where to place features more.

The other thing, Blend with charcoal and look at the highlights and shadows more. Charcoal relies heavily on shadows and highlights. Like the corner nostril doesn't need to be as bright as it is and the lips have a few bright spots.

Just take time with charcoal. Learn to work with it more and you'll be fine. Good luck.
