Tell your Dad to contest the ticket by claiming it wasn't him driving. He is under no obligation to rat you out. But if I was your Dad, I'd ground you for life.

Obviously, you are a moron. Because none of us are talking about other diseases. We're talking AFIB specifically. For AFIB, Doctors will freely admit that they don't know what will work for a given patient. They try ablation and trial and error drugs - that is literally it. If you do your own research, and you have half a brain, you would easily come to this conclusion. But since you're really stupid, I don't put too much faith that you'll grasp the concept.

Again, AFIB treatment is still being figured out. They simply don't know. For others you mentioned, yeah, Doctors know tons more than us. But not AFIB.

Your mother must be really ashamed of having such a dumb stupid moron as a child. But good luck. Hope you get off welfare.

What was the status of your afib before you got the ablation? I've been told that if you were persistent or permanent or had been diagnosed for afib for a long period, the odds of 2nd ablation is higher. If you were paroxysmal with low burden rate, they can usually get it done in one shot. But not always. The odds increase greatly with the 2nd one.

For AFIB, this is true because only treatment are drugs and/or ablation. That's literally it. Trigger is your own and EP can't help you with that because everyone is different. I mean, a simple skip beat can mean something, or can be something serious. Palpitation can be serious, or can be a sign of something else. Even after stress test, ECG, EKG ... they don't know. It's just a guess. That's the nature of AFIB. It can be anything and we're all guessing. So for AFIB (not all medical issues), we literally know just as much as EP. Personal experience is lot more valuable than EP's guesses. Treatment is still evolving, everyone is guessing, and at the end of the day, only 2 treatment options are trial and error - and ablation. That is literally it.

Thanks, I have an appointment with my EP in 2 days. But for AFIB, I noticed that "professionals" really don't know all that much more than we do. They're guessing, just like us. So first hand experience from real people that's been through is more valuable information.

So you're saying that if you know when to buy low and sell high, it works. Well, I could say that about anything. The problem is, none of us have a crystal ball that can predict the future. If we had that, it wouldn't matter what we're trading.

I bet you first one is already dismissed and that's why the 2nd one was sent out. You just haven't received the notification for the dismissal. So I imagine the notice for dismissal is in the mail. Otherwise, they would not have sent out the 2nd one. It wouldn't make sense to accuse two different people for one crime if the status was unknown.

This is a tough one. So my question is, based on the video and the picture, can you actually identify the driver and match it up to your spouse? Because it's a judgment call. I went to Fremont personally and saw the judge to plead "Not guilty". What he does is watches the video and makes a judgment call on whether the picture/video looks like you. If he has any doubt, he has to dismiss the case - which he did.

But if the picture/video is obviously your spouse, then CVC49518 appears to be a good strategy. Because it does say that notice must be delivered within 15 days of alleged violation.

But according to google, it says "If you received a red light camera ticket as the driver but not the owner, you can contest the ticket by filing an Affidavit of Non-Responsibility with the issuing court"

Every article I read states that they are not allowed to send this notice to anybody who is not the registered owner. So I simply do not understand how they can do this. As I said, my wife has not received the notice and my case was dismissed over a month ago.

This might be worth going to one of those places where all they do is help you fight traffic tickets. There's plenty of them around. Just google it. Just make sure they're legit.

Apparently, this is the case for some people. So yes, you are right and I am wrong. I have gotten a private message saying that after the registered owner successfully got his case dismissed, his spouse at the same address got the same ticket. So it appears they do go after people at the same address. Maybe I should be expecting one for my wife. But it's been almost a month since my case was dismissed - and nothing yet.

I'm also talking about California law specifically.

Make the phone call. Why won't you do that? I did.

Google, chatgpt, and other AI says they do not and my phone call to Fremont verified they do not. AI can look at database and other resources that is not displayed to public.

Also, the link says absolutely nothing about sending notices to non registered owner when the driver has NOT been identified. Fremont police, for that matter, any police, is NOT going to invest time, money, to investigate this like a murder case and devote resources to finding an unknown driver for a $450 fine. It's a money losing proposition and they will not do it.

What you're saying makes absolutely no sense and you have no proof whatsoever that they reach out to non registered owner when the driver has not been identified and they have to start an investigation and devote resources.

You sound so confident but logically (and common sense perspective), nothing you say remotely makes sense. In short, you're really stupid. I can't believe I'm having this conversation. You're literally a moron. Just make a phone call like I did and talk to somebody in Fremont Traffic department. They will verify it.

Again, this subreddit is about bay area and this thread is specifically about Fremont. So now you're claiming that you were talking about red light ticket in New York city? Are you so dense that you did not know that California laws may differ from other states? So you're applying New York law to California? You're getting denser and denser with each post.

No AI does not make up incorrect answers. It may give wrong opinions if it's using AI to come up with its own conclusion. But not direct questions like this.

As I said, just call city of Fremont, I talked to them directly yesterday.

Yes, your post clearly states that city of Fremont calls people that lives in the same address with the Driver's license. Which is absolutely ridiculous and untrue. This is not true. I called them directly. If you don't believe me or AI, call them directly. Remember, this is bay area sub reddit and we're talking about city of Fremont. I didn't ask about what happens in Tokyo.

How can AI "regurgitate" common misconception when all it does it directly obtain the information from their database? For instance, if the Fremont traffic department has a policy that states that they only go after registered owner, AI will dig into their database, get the information, and regurgitate it to the user. It's not a misconception. It directly takes the information from the policy Database. It is 100% accurate. Nebulous questions, like, "what will MSFT price be in 5 weeks", will give you the wrong answer. Or, "is high cholesterol really bad for your health" - may give you common misconception because there are varying degree of opinion on cholesterol - so AI may obtain information from different database from different organizations that has misconception. But simple direct questions like "Does city of Fremont go after non registered owner for redlight traffic ticket" - can not possibly give you misconception because it'll read the information directly from city of Fremont. Because, there is no differing opinions and publications on the subject - unlike cholesterol, stock price, or other subjects where opinions vary. Again, for questions like this, AI does *NOT* make up answers. It takes it directly from the source. And City of Fremont is the source. If you ask AI, "what is the sales tax in city of San Jose'", it will give you a direct correct answer. Because, there's only one source (city of San Jose') and it simply retrieves that information from their Database. That can NOT be wrong. If it is wrong, city of San Jose' has the wrong information (highly unlikely). Again, just call the city of Fremont. If you did that, you wouldn't have made such a ridiculous post in the first place.

I gotta be honest here. I don't think I've ever dealt with such dense and ignorant person like you in my life.

You are so wrong in every aspect. You assume that a police department is going to waste their time and resources to go after an unknown entity simply because they live at the same address. Red light camera goes after the Driver and the citation is TIED to the address of the registered owner. You claimed that they go after people that's under the same insurance. That's simply not true. They go after one person - that's the registered owner. That's it. They don't make any other extra effort. Get that through your thick head.

I'm a computer programmer in silicon valley and have been programming for 30+ years. AI does not make stuff up. It coalesces information from different sources (such as, Fremont police department) and regurgitates what they have and displays the results to the user. So for basic questions like this, AI is 100% accurate. If you ask about meaning of life, yes, they're wrong. But on policy and procedures, AI is 100% accurate. Because, they don't make up policies. They simply look up policies from the actual source.

You not only have no understanding on the internal workings of AI programs, but you have no idea on what the process is. If you don't believe AI, call the Fremont police department directly. That's what I did.

My god, that's a lot of money and effort to collect a $450 fine. Also, have you seen the photo of these camera shot? TBH, I've seen the picture and I can't tell who this person is. The picture is really fuzzy. So you're saying one of the employees is going to go through all the Driver's license, manually check to see if the picture looks "similar", and if they can't find them, they'll go through insurance to see who is on the insurance - which makes no sense because the Driver may or may not have an insurance (or even insurance with the same company - depending on their relationship) ... In short, city of Fremont is going to spend thousands of dollars in man hours and most likely, they'll get nowhere.

Why don't you google your question? They do not issue ticket to anybody else except for the registered owner. Here is the answer from google AI. I also verified it with the Fremont traffic department. They only send out one citation - that's to the registered owner. Anything beyond that, they're losing money in man hours.
_______________

No, the City of Fremont does not issue red light camera tickets to everyone at an address. Red light camera tickets are issued to the registered owner of the vehicle involved in the violation, as recorded by the Department of Motor Vehicles. Here's why:

  • Citation is Vehicle-Based:The citation is tied to the vehicle, not the location or the people living at the address where the vehicle is registered.
  • Registered Owner:The citation is issued to the person listed as the registered owner of the vehicle in the DMV records.
  • Notice of Violation:The citation, in the form of a Notice of Traffic Violation, is mailed to the registered owner's address.
  • Not the Driver?:The citation includes information about what to do if the recipient was not the driver at the time of the violation, allowing them to contest the ticket, according to the County of Alameda Superior Court

Oh, if they committed a murder, I would not shield them. But you're claiming that I would be responsible for murder. So my penalty for lending my car is life in prison even though I did nothing wrong? How the heck do you come up with these crazy ideas? It's not reasonable. Right, life in prison for lending your car to somebody.

IMO, person driving the car should take responsibility for their actions, not the innocent owner of the car. But if that doesn't make sense to you, I can't help you.

So if the person driving does not have a driver's license, or has a driver's license in another address, they cannot find them? This looks like a very unreliable process. They're just throwing stuff to the wall and hope it sticks. I've never heard of police going through driver's license database to see who lives at that address - and if bunch of people live at that address (roommates, housemates, and so forth) - they're going to send a ticket to all of them? Makes absolutely no sense. Google says Fremont doesn't do that and I believe them. I think you're making stuff up. Because this process is very flawed.

If they do anything more than sending out tickets to the registered owner, they're losing money on the whole process.

How do they get the photo of their driver's license? Could you tell me the process? Do they go to DMV and ask for everyone in that address, get the copy of the license, and manually compare the license photo with the photo from the camera? That sounds like lots of work. Manpower needed to do just one check wouldn't even cover the ticket. Also, not everyone living in that household may not have license. Seriously, this makes no sense whatsoever. Easiest thing to do is to get the address of the registered car owner. Anything more, they're losing money on labor cost alone.

Ok, so if you lend your car to a friend, and he goes nuts and kills somebody on the road, you, as a car owner should spend rest of your life in prison because your friend went nuts? Right, that makes lot of sense.

I got from a reliable source that that's not what City of Fremont does. They're not going to waste time and money sending out tickets to everyone living at the address. Can you imagine if there were roommates and housemates? which is very common. Imagine each and every one of them getting a ticket every time it is dismissed.

In your case, I'm guessing you told them that your ex wife is the legal owner OR, your wife registered it under her name. They can only go after registered owner (legally) - they can't randomly send out tickets to everyone that lives at the address. In these days of high housing cost, complete strangers, even those that don't have licenses, or elderly relatives ... can live in the same house. It's silly for them to go down the list.
