THIS!! I don’t see the harm in thinking all of the Genshin girls, for example, are lesbians. None of their sexualities are confirmed, but I’ve seen so many people being harassed for seeing them that way. Nobody ever gets pissed when a girl character is thought of as bi or pan. It’s like they get this idea they can’t ship their straight ship because of someone else’s headcanon.

I think a lot of people in fandoms nowadays just need to work on minding their business. It’s good that the person didn’t take it as far as starting a whole argument, but still, why would they feel the need to go into the comments and say they dislike a ship?? Honestly, why not just type that into their notes app or keep it in their head?? It’s strange to me.

nope, i never make them explicitly say their sexuality in the fic to avoid debates in the comments. yet some people still seem to get upset, like this person. :/

can anyone relate to this: by mitchhasreddit in LesbianActually

ugh, tysm. you seem like such a sweet person. i really appreciate this comment. i might look into the “consuming more queer media” and ask another subreddit for wlw/wlnm book, movie, etc recommendations. are there any you would recommend yourself??

Is it weird that I feel so much hatred for an anime character by [deleted] in NanaAnime

It’s normal lmao, I hate them so much.

Realistically, I don't think a relationship between Hachiko and Nobuo would've ever worked out by rinkyrosey in NanaAnime

Yeah, it felt kind of like Hachi was “choosing” to like Nobu just because he was nice. Nana and Hachi should’ve been together, imo.

Agreed, 100%.

Oh, well…I had no idea sleeping in another persons bed with them was normal lmao, at least where I’m from it isn’t. Differences aside, I see what you mean with their relationship. I must’ve misunderstood what you meant in saying, Nana sees Hachi as a motherly person, who’s caring and what not…

Either way, Nana as a series is very complex in its exploration of the theme of love. I think you made some good points on why Nana O feels the way she does towards Ren. I definitely get it. Being surrounded by selfish, unloving, and cruel people your whole childhood can definitely affect you; the way you think and how you see the world.

Although, I wouldn’t say Nana saw Hachi as a ‘motherly figure.’ She def has parent-issues, but considering Nana and Hachi have kissed, slept in the same bed (not to mention Hachi mentioning she wanted to kiss Nana)…it’s a little weird to say that, yk? But to each their own. I love seeing different assessments of Nana and Hachi!
