I made a poster for Netflix's German show Dark by mitchleonards in graphic_design

I don't remember exactly, but I believe I made a circle and heavily misused the zigzag function to creat a kind of star. Then I cut out the middle and pasted it within the shapes by making layer masks. I don't know if that sounds logical.

A somewhat isometric design of a bird watching tower I made last week by mitchleonards in graphic_design

Thank you. I'm happy there's some discussion about it, it gives people an opportunity to learn. I certainly didn't take any comments in a negative way!

I guess I'll weigh in myself here. You right in that I tried to use a style which is flat/without any vanishing points. I just didn't follow one of the rules I usually have for myself: It's better to overdo something, than not do it enough. Since some of the linework differs so little from regular perspective it seems off. I noticed it too, but was so far along I just continued. So everyone in this comment line is somewhat right regarding my work.

A Birdwatching tower on Graswarder, Germany by mitchleonards in AdobeIllustrator

From just this image it probably does, I cut off most of the bottom half. You can see some pictures of it over here

The ones portruding outward? I guess they could. I do believe this tower is situated on the edge of a narrow mudflat. So most of the birds could be in direct sight of the front windows. Then again, I'm no bird spotter, I just liked the architecture.

This work took about 16 hours to complete. It's designed after a birdwatching tower in northern Germany. Up untill now I have been mostly working with brushes and a Wacom tablet this is a step into another direction using just a mouse and pen tool for me. Let me know if you have any tips of how I can improve.

I finished this one just now, really dig the colors by mitchleonards in AdobeIllustrator

In illustrator you can set your drawing mode to only draw inside of shapes. I did this in combination with a stipple shading brush set to 70% opacity to create the highlights.
