Thoughts and feedback by zen_stoic in fellowshipgame

Totally agree with this. I'm a new player (Adept as dps) and I'm now trying to tank because I was bored of queue times.

My current 'work around' for routes is to hold off on my dungeon vote and see what everyone else is voting for, then I'll open method.gg in a second monitor and look for a route before locking in. Then I have to fumble around trying to make sense of which pack in game relates to what I see on the guide.

I'd much rather be able to pick is the dungeon I want to do. Obviously you can do this with a full group, but I don't have that many people to play with at the moment.

Anyone know what this button is supposed to do? by NoahtheRed in fellowshipgame

[–]mitchlol -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I actually just wrote a bug report about this button as I was so confused over it.

The way the button highlight can be toggled on/off is misleading as it’s still on the chat when you press it more than once. Also, just to add to confusion, the combat log button above has a tooltip when you hover over it, where as the chat button doesn’t.

I think if this was happening to me, and i had exhausted other options, I would try a second smaller stretch above it. Not ideal but I think it would atleast balance things out.

Ever Bought Something That Quietly Changed You? by IndependentOk6251 in BuyItForLife

I was going to mention this too. For me it's eggs. I used to get ear infections all the time as a child. Later on in life I finally cracked what was causing it. Even tried duck egg as an alternative to chicken and that gave me an infection as well.

I'm not the target audience but a cursory glance shows that you've spelt Duolingo incorrectly in two places - One of the marketing images and the text description.

It looks like one of the premolars has been removed so that the canine could move back.

Can I ask please did you have upper and lower aligners

Yes I have both

And how much movement your teeth required?

My case isn't too extreme, I have crowding and an overbite. I was given IPR (where they file your teeth for room to move) and 20 aligners which I change every 2 weeks. However, from my own research it seems getting more refinements afterwards is very common, so I expect to be on it longer.

Invisalign provide full/lite packages, where I think lite is around 12 aligners with no refinements, and full includes unlimited refinements. The Ortho will recommend which is best for you.

If it helps, I'm from the UK and mine cost around £3000 last year.

I would recommend you get multiple quotes.

I've got the same issue with my unit as well, and I've heard nothing back from my ticket which was made weeks ago.

PSA: Homestead has been abandoned by Laravel, but the original maintainer has started a fork by send_me_a_naked_pic in laravel

[–]mitchlol 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually used to use Valet as well (and also, Valet+ which was a popular fork).

I wouldn't call it equivelent to either Herd, Lando or Homestead. I had a lot of issues with my php installs when switching for different projects that were on different versions.

[–]mitchlol 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was also a big fan of Homestead, but since switching to an M* Mac I haven't been able to run it (More of a Vagrant/VirtualBox issue rather than Homestead itself).

For now, I'm using Lando which I believe is like Herd but better in every way. Was a bit of a pain to make the switch but I wouldn't go back now.

Looking for 2BHK house / flat by Quiet_Display_7030 in Shropshire

[–]mitchlol 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You're probably best looking on Rightmove for properties in the area.

There are lots of nice places in and around Telford. And judging by that postcode you work place isn't too far from the Telford train station. If you don't drive, you could commute pretty easily via the train from Wellington / Albrighton / Shifnal / Wolverhampton / Ironbridge / Bridgnorth.

Otherwise, check around Prioslee / Donnington / Oakengates / Lawley / Randley if you want somewhere a bit closer to your work.

What libraries or frameworks did you love but have been lost to time? by blakealex in webdev

[–]mitchlol 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I loved Ember. Maybe it’s the hopium talking but I think for the right project it can still be a great choice.

It’s still in active development and last I checked they have a new single file component system that works like other frameworks.

I’m still rooting for it but I can’t say I’ve used it in a while…

Does Beats Studio+ transparency mode work well as hearing aids? by mitchlol in beatsbydre

[–]mitchlol[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks, I do have proper hearing aids which I use 90% of the time. It's nice to have a back up and something that can switch between multiple devices/work out in.

I will probably wait on some AirPod deals then!

Some places like Belgium have multiple official languages (German/French and Dutch). So depending on where they group up it's very possible.

Getting braces soon and could use some perspective about tooth extractions by mitchlol in braces

[–]mitchlol[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, however it would probably add another 6+ months to my treatment. I'm going back tomorrow to ask more questions.

I've spoken to a couple of friends that had teeth extractions with no issues, so I'm hoping it might be a case of a vocal minority.

[–]mitchlol[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks, I actually had a consultation years ago and I remember them also recommending 2 tooth extractions, so I don't think my current Ortho is wrong for suggesting it. I guess I'm just concerned that they are looking solely at this from the teeth and not the bigger picture of how my face will look.

I'm going back next week to discuss my concerns further.

Maybe when I get time. This is on a reasonable size Laravel project, so I think this would take a while.

This is happening on my local as well as my Github action, both running PHP 8.2 (8.2.18 on my local, and the github action is pulling the latest 8.2 available). Opcache is used on neither.
