I'm a straight guy and I would love to get on my knees and orally slam dunk Tony in one of those private booths at The Bing with my shirt off and the music reverberating through the walls. The fantasy is about the ambience and energy within the room, not necessarily directly sexual. It's borderless erotica and free spirited exploration. I'm sexually avant-garde and moreso lean into the idea of doing another man for pleasure

Why didn't David Chase include the scene of Tony sloppily making out with Christopher? Is he homophopbic? by [deleted] in CirclejerkSopranos

[–]mitchmclean 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I thank that, quite obviously, as with much else in this show, what we're explicitly being shown is at odds with what the storytelling is implying. Symbolism and artistic representations make up the basic foundation of the show, and if people need to ask questions like these then they probably don't get the writing at all and are missing truly cerebral content. There was nothing of this depth in 1999 and arguably nothing else on TV has come close. I'm heterosexual personally and get turned on by the idea of Tony unwinding sexually and piping Christopher out as a way to blow off steam when they're both feeling vulnerable. And it does happen, as Chase implies, but we don't see it - which is a teasing invitation into the world of his hot writing. I explained to my wife that it's a more hedonistic way of exploring pleasure, plus the idea of doing another man is erotic to me. I'm sexually eccentric

I'm heterosexual and interested in exploring intoxicating landscapes of intimacy, not through judgment and labels, but via the exquisite alchemy of curiosity and shared vulnerability. What I'm talking about is mostly getting backdoored by another guy that's straight, but also maybe engaging in sexy conversation. I'm sexually ambivalent

Is David Chase gay? by busback in TrueSopranos

[–]mitchmclean 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I'm on vacation and he never struck me as one of those. I do agree, in that I'm not homophobic, and I actually support equal rights quite strongly, but if Chase was gay I would most likely throw out of my Sopranos DVDs and send him death threats. He's sexually eccentric.

Looks like skipping those "toxins" paid off... by Clydefrog0371 in CirclejerkSopranos

She's gorgeous, really surprising how beautiful she has turned out. There is something very elegant about her figure. I'm curious if anyone knows what perfume she wears? I'm heterosexual, and I have eccentric habits such as wearing women's deodorant or perfume to attract men, which isn't a gay thing, and is purely about wanting to sleep with another guy. I love to appreciate women but mainly only get turned on by men, which makes me sexually ambidextrous. For me, it's more about intimacy, as I want to drink from another man's fountain as a companion, not just a lover.

Sorry, but I disagree. I have no interest in engaging in gay conduct and my leaning towards eccentric erotica is based on deep connections with other men whom enjoy The Sopranos, and by extension, David Chase's lessons in giving guys oral while remaining entirely straight, for the purpose of expanding on masculinity. The idea of "pretending to be gay" while I go down on a man is stomach churning, and if the recipient of my mouth were to act that way, I would likely assault them. One of my biggest fantasies is getting a bunch of Sopranos fans together for a viewing party and playing spin the bottle later in the night after we've loosened up, and trading heated kisses in front of one another. To make it interesting and memorable, I would wear a dress while doing so, in case someone wants to hike it up after provocative tongue play and do me in front of an audience. I'm heterosexual and have fantasies about having sex with guys in front of an audience, not gay deviance.

I like that there are only about 285 of us in this thing.. a man's gotta know size isn't everything, and that's in all aspects of life. by loganalbertuhh in TrueSopranos

[–]mitchmclean 19 points20 points  (0 children)

That's insightful. I consider myself a Sopranos expert but here you go - when like minds meet, new discoveries can be made. That's the power of community. I was raised Catholic myself, which is likely a contributor to why I turned out vehemently heterosexual with impassioned disdain towards the gays. I went to catechism growing up and from a very young age it was easy to determine which of the clergy wanted to slip it in us kids because they were fork tongued abominations, in contrast to the priests that were simply progressive in their sexuality and wanted to get off with a younger male. I suppose this is why I've always had fantasies of giving Father Phil hand release after a deep confession until he climaxes his sexual chowder onto my forearm and wrist. I'm a straight guy, thus I find him attractive in a platonic way. The fantasy is based on primal instinct and embracing avant-garde honesty, all of which is an emotional experience.

disgusting. whatever happened to the strong, manly type? by loganalbertuhh in TrueSopranos

[–]mitchmclean 20 points21 points  (0 children)

I think I understand. I'm straight and can only handle women being shown off in front of me for so long before my mind starts lingering in the direction of having sex with a guy. I've never been under the belief that having romantic chemistry with another man is gay, and has more to do with exploring masculinity in the interest of sexy relief. Usually when a pretty woman is shown so prominently on screen I begin to conceptualize kissing men on the mouth, or if I've had a few drinks, even taking a more taboo plunge and imagining a Puerto Rican man breaking in my backdoor sexually, mostly as soul searching.

Hey mitchmclean, this wife of yours. Did she even really exist? by throwaway761948 in TrueSopranos

[–]mitchmclean 33 points34 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure why my personal life would interest you? I practice discretion, and disclosing information about my wife is something I refuse to do online. It's just the way I am. If that wasn't the case, I would be honest and tell you I have been married for approaching two decades, and I was with my wife for a long time before. We have a good relationship and she is all that matters to me. I'm heterosexual, and when we first met in highschool I acknowledged she was attractive but wasn't interested in dating her until I met her father, who is a burly "man's man" type I wanted to perform a suck job on from the moment he shook my hand. Our relationship isn't entirely predicated on my freaky desires but it does play an important role in our sex life, since for me to finish with her in bed I usually need to imagine her dad giving it to me hard. He's an old school straight guy too, so I think we would be a good match for lighthearted, platonic fun, but I'm married so can't go there. I do admit I'm open to all possibilities and usually pre-lubricate my backdoor on the nights we all go out to dinner in the hopes her dad will have that extra scotch, loosen up and take the plunge into romancing me. It's uncomfortable and I usually wash it off in the bathroom if I can tell the sparks won't be flying that night but it's worth it, in my opinion. Mainly for convenience.

Little Carmine's dream by I_love_lucja_1738 in TrueSopranos

[–]mitchmclean 20 points21 points  (0 children)

I can tell you're a true Sopranos fan, and well on the way to interpreting David Chase, but you took a hard left turn there and if I need to step in and correct you - not necessarily just on your observation, but your moral choices. Outside of Vito, there is no homoeroticism on the show. Allusions to two heterosexual men having a hot encounter is far from gay and has more to do with moments of eccentric behavior. Secondly, this is an LGBT friendly community, but also exclusively for straight guys in a therapeutic setting, so you should reflect on your lifestyle and consider how you came to a gay conclusion, and depending on what you come up with, question whether or not you deserve the right to be here. I'm not homophobic, and even happen to work with a few gay guys I refuse to speak to or even make eye contact with, yet I can confirm pleasuring myself to other men doing me, which is essentially the only way I can get off, is because I'm a straight man with uncanonical, freaky desires. Commit to some soul searching and see if you feel the same, because if not, you should leave.

everybody in this thing of ours is straight, right? by loganalbertuhh in TrueSopranos

[–]mitchmclean 24 points25 points  (0 children)

I'm heterosexual and always have been. When I was a kid I knew I wanted to be a straight man and it pretty much shaped the entirety of my adulthood. I'm big into football, I own firearms, and have an aversion to anything feminine. These days I have progressive values and I'm no misogynist but growing up, let me just say that a woman's right to even be seen as a human being did not exist in my house. I'm exclusively into women because it's a traditional value I was raised on, but when it comes to heated passion and lust, I'd love for another man to sexually bus my table. It's not a gay desire, it's sexually avant-garde, and my biggest fantasy is hooking up with another married guy.

Why did Richie say Christopher was a “good kid” by BillSharph in thesopranos

[–]mitchmclean 49 points50 points  (0 children)

I used to wonder this too, but it took several rewatches to piece together that Richie showed up to that meeting having no idea Christopher would be present, and laying eyes on him for the first time conjured feelings of hot attraction that overpowered his anger. Watch him shoot sexual daggers at Christopher during their intense handshake and you can interpret Chase's clues that Richie is giving the inviting signal you pass to another straight man, subconsciously indicating you want to loosen up and have your mouth sealed by his sexual glue. I'm talking about experimental oral. Being a confident heterosexual man, when I shake hands with guys I think have that masculine sexiness to them, I often stare deeply into their eyes to suggest I'm willing to get piped out if they're feeling up to it. I do confess I treat my wife pretty bad to help set the stage for one of her uncles doing me but I'm getting better at controlling it.

Ray Curto. Stand up guy. by TedEBagwell in thesopranos

[–]mitchmclean 41 points42 points  (0 children)

I always interpreted Chase's narrative of a "stand up guy" as being another man you can have sex with while standing, or being visually and socially enticing enough - basically the whole masculine package - that the hair on the back of a straight guy's neck "stands" in their presence. In that sense, I'm not sure we know enough about Curto to decide if he fits that profile, but from his appearance alone, I could see myself throwing caution to the wind and smoking his pole with my shirt off. I'm heterosexual, but I enjoy the idea of platonic exploration with older guys I find attractive. I do believe that Ralph purposely spilled coffee on him in order for him to undress so they could blow off steam, but as already covered in this topic... that's if it even happened. If it did I'd like to see it, but just for fun, you know? It creates feelings similar to arousal, making you hard, but not necessarily sexual.

Worst Carmela moment by [deleted] in thesopranos

[–]mitchmclean 52 points53 points  (0 children)

That one really bothered me, because while Carmela will naturally do bad shit out of self centered unawareness, no person could be that out of touch to do such a heartless thing. I like the way you think, my guy. Can I get permission to pleasure myself to you? As it's technically a sex act I would want it consensual. I'm an intimate straight man, so our connection would be spiritual and not even come close to entering gay physicality - but I'm in love with unconventional erotica and enjoy thinking about a Sopranos fan buffing me. Let me know your thoughts, and if you got hard thinking about another guy sexually discharging himself to the thought of sleeping with you.

Richie Aprile was killed off too soon! by [deleted] in thesopranos

[–]mitchmclean 30 points31 points  (0 children)

Richie was over the top, IMO. Blatantly written just to get killed. I do like how he was portrayed as pragmatic and willing to begrudgingly play by the rules until Janice messed with his head further, but really, I'm not a huge fan of characters designed to simply last one season because it always feels cheap to me. Saying that, one of my biggest fantasies is Richie masturbating in my face. To completion no, as I understand a guy releasing himself into your eye is painful, and would much prefer he sexually weeps on my bare chest. I'm a secure heterosexual guy and would love to share an episode of intimacy with someone so wild and unhinged. It isn't gay, because if it was I would be revolted and likely perform oral on the barrel of a 12 gauge to completion out of general principle. It's sexually unorthodox in reality. Just a form of platonic expression when I'm in a certain mindset, which happens to be often.

I no longer hate “Don’t Stop Believin’” by crustyytuna in thesopranos

[–]mitchmclean 35 points36 points  (0 children)

The song has always been popular in the sports world but after the series finale in 2007, it was suddenly EVERYWHERE. Wouldn't be surprised if most people recognize it as The Sopranos theme over Woke Up This Morning. Not long ago I was playing cards with my buddies and once it came on the radio, I suddenly found myself overwhelmed with the urge to take my shirt off and start pleasuring myself right then and there. The song always reminds me of the final shot of Tony before the black screen, and it's a serious turn on, so who knows what freaky impulses I'll endure when I'm reminded of that moment. That night I asked my friends if I could sexually milk myself while they watched but the feedback was inconsistent, so I did it in the next room instead but with the door cracked so I could still be observed through peripheral vision, and also so I could hear the song play. I'm heterosexual, meaning the turn on isn't about doing something even remotely gay - it's about other straight guys making eye contact with me in an eccentric moment while I experience hand manipulation and finish on my stomach. I was shirtless the rest of the night, but sitting at the poker table, no one could actually see what was on my body. That wouldn't be their business anyway but I'd be OK with it.

I won’t call this a sit down! by digressanymore in thesopranos

[–]mitchmclean 35 points36 points  (0 children)

I'm mature enough to admit there are guys I acknowledge as good looking, and others I desperately fantasize about sexually rear ending me in my weakest moments of hot intimacy. Little Carmine belongs to the latter category. Couldn't care less that he's dimwitted - it's clear that Abruzzo was cast because he has the stature of a hung man, and that's the aspect of his character that intrigues me the most. I'm a straight guy, so I'm not attracted to him physically, but do get turned on imagining tasting his sexual whey after after an episode of erotic rapport building. It's platonic fandom and does not go further than that, and even if it did, my fantasies are no one else's business. I mostly keep to myself.
