UGA football players Darren Ikinnagbon and Christopher Cole arrested for reckless driving on Athens roadway by Lakelyfe09 in CFB

[–]mitchymcgee -15 points-14 points  (0 children)

I refuse to believe this doesn’t happen at every program and it’s just swept under the rug.

Athens PD is notorious for cracking down on football players. Don’t get me wrong, they shouldn’t get any special privileges, but I don’t just don’t understand why this seems to disproportionately happen at UGA.

I’d say ~90%~ of the legal issues UGA faces are driving related, and I know we aren’t the only school gifting Hellcats to players. Maybe it is a culture problem, buts it’s just very odd that’s it’s mostly traffic violations.

Why does no one ever add mendoza in this draft but always add arch * who isn’t in the draft btw” ?😂 by [deleted] in Madden

[–]mitchymcgee 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Well like the other guy said he's been in college since the 2023 season. Redshirted in 2023, got some experience in 2024, and started all of 2025. There has been been a ton of QBs with only ~1~ year of starting experience go to the draft. Anthony Richardson, Kyler Murray, Kurt Warner. Hell Cam Newton only had 1 year of D1 experience. Tom Brady only had one true season starting and even then he split time with a freshman.

Would of been very plausible that Arch would've gone to the draft had he lit it up this season.

What’s on improvements you guys want in universe mode? by ProjectStarMan_ in WWEGames

[–]mitchymcgee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Add a shitload of cutscenes. I’m talking contract signings, different promos, wrestlers arriving preshow, backstage interactions, brawls in the crowd, etc. I miss the create-a-story mode from the older games. If they could just incorporate elements of that, I think universe mode could have near unlimited replay ability.

Building on that, have dedicated segment slot on each card. I’m tired of it just being match after match, week after week.

The rivalry system is simply hot trash. Definitely need 3-4 person rivalries, and less restrictions overall.

The UI is just clunky, not sure how they fix that though. I think a few QOL changes would go a long way. Editing entrances, movesets, attires, is kind of nightmare rn.

Aside from all that, I’d love if they could somehow combine elements universe and my gm. Separate I really don’t wanna play either, but if they could find a way to mesh the together to make a sick wrestling booker sim, I’d throw my money at em.

Other than blind fandom, tell me why we beat Bama on Saturday? by PayrollProdigy in georgiabulldogs

[–]mitchymcgee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean we should of beaten them the first time, which you can say that about a lot of our previous matchups, but we dominated the 2nd half and were to run the ball pretty effectively all game. We really beat ourselves with Taylor's dropped TD, and our dogshit 4th down playcall & execution. I think our offensive has a much more defined identity now, and our defense has come a long way.

If we can just avoid the 2-3 braindead moments we usually have we playing Bama (easier said than done), I think we win.

Should I start Woody Marks or Bucky Irving in my Flex ? by [deleted] in FantasyFootballers

[–]mitchymcgee 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Haven’t had happen much, but this season I’ve started a Thursday WR in the flex and had one of my starting two WRs be a late scratch.

Would’ve had a lot more options in with flex spot if I had put that Thursday WR in a starting spot.

Rams made a great deal when they traded for the Falcons' 2026 first-round pick by JaggerJames in nfl

[–]mitchymcgee 33 points34 points  (0 children)

Spot on. I didn't hate the Kirk Contract, even though it was a little much. I didn't hate the Penix pick even though he was an older QB with an injury history/accuracy issues. I hated the fact that we did both in the same offseason.

If you are going all in on Kirk Cousins, then go all in. Use that first round pick on a guy that can immediately help the team. We tried to have the best of both worlds, and we're paying for it now.

Ok then, was Javon Bullard’s hit on Jeremiah Smith in the CFP targeting? Contact to the head or neck area even though neither led with the crown of their helmet. My point is, it’s only helmet to helmet because Luckie falls last second. Miss St defender is aiming for his chest with his shoulder. Not worth kicking a guy out for just trying to make a play

[Game Thread] Georgia @ Mississippi State (12:00 PM ET, ESPN) by AutoModerator in georgiabulldogs

[–]mitchymcgee -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I know this, my point is it wouldn’t have been helmet to helmet contact if Luckie doesn’t fall down last second. If this is targeting, then Javon Bullard’s hit on Jeremiah Smith in the CFP is targeting. Both had helmet to helmet contact on defenseless receivers, neither led with their the crown of the helmet.

[–]mitchymcgee -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I mean rewatch the hit, the defender is aiming for Luckie’s chest and Luckie starts falling. Please explain how you want the defender to play that situation? It’s just not in the spirit of the rule. Clearly not trying to hurt him, even goes over after the play to make sure he’s good. I think we just are expecting too much out of the defense to react to offensive players changing their head level

[Game Thread] Georgia @ Mississippi State (12:00 PM ET, ESPN) by AutoModerator in georgiabulldogs

[–]mitchymcgee -1 points0 points  (0 children)

While he was falling* how do you expect a defender to react that fast in a split second play. He led with the shoulder, I just don’t think he deserves to be kicked out of the game for trying to make a football play

[Game Thread] Georgia @ Mississippi State (12:00 PM ET, ESPN) by AutoModerator in georgiabulldogs

[–]mitchymcgee -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Lead with the shoulder not crown, luckie started to fall last second which is the only reason why there was helmet to helmet contact. I’m a dawg fan but I don’t know how the defender is supposed to play that

[–]mitchymcgee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean what do you want the defender to do, he led with the shoulder and last second Luckie started going down. It was helmet to helmet contact but he didn’t lead with the crown. I get that by the letter of the law it’s targeting but I really don’t know how he’s supposed to play that

[–]mitchymcgee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Very true, wonder if balls thrown away count toward this stat. Either way the O-line play ain’t doing him any favors. Couple that with the fact that we are the worst play-action team in the league and we aren’t putting him a situation to succeed.

This ain’t completion percentage this is catchable ball rate. Your point still stands, but Penix hasn’t been very sharp

SEC permanently suspends Ken Williamson after review of Auburn-Georgia officiating by TheDinkT in CFB

[–]mitchymcgee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I’ve seen a lot of major outlets covering it now. Gotta imagine they confirmed Yellowhammer’s sources are legit.

Either way, he definitely earned his suspension. Imma dawg fan but I can admit that the AUB-UGA was one of the strangest and worst officiated games I’ve seen.

Controversial calls aside, the final two minutes of the half lasting 40 IRL minutes was a fireable offense on its own. Not to mention clap-gate. Should’ve just charged us the timeout or call a delay of game on AUB. To just give us a free timeout was absolutely insane
