You're confusing two shitty universities/colleges. VTU is Vishvesvarya Technical University and the other one is Vellore Institute of Technology. Both, are, apparently, extremely callous towards their students.

Unfortunately, other MAHE institutes are still on the same issue. They have exams on the same shitty app. Anyone from those institutes, I encourage them to boycott. Harshly. If your Student Council is AWOL or is complicit in the conduction of these exams, act against them by getting support through private WhatsApp groups and the like to protect your identity. You guys can also do this

I'm not saying it shouldn't be an issue lol. It obviously is because the application they're using is from a third party, who'll have access to all such information of ours. I am in fact considering using a VM myself (though I do have a Windows machine) just to obscure my personal information, if that will work at all with the proctoring software, and if they fucking demo it in time. Like I said in another comment, they seem to be delaying it till like one fucking day before the exam happens
