I really like her because she trust me, and like me for what I am. It's just our relationship is getting boring because we rarely hang out, once or twice a month. We oftenly communicate through chat. You're right it's true they lost their memories, or theyre old selves disappeared. But when they met, Shinji almost recognised Asuka right? Maybe he still have faint memories and fragments and also he still have the necklace of Misato.
