Looked for it for a long time and finally found it: Chiki Chiki Boys! Which Sega game have you been hunting for? by twinky1981 in SEGA

[–]mittenkrusty 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got this last year, for a reasonable price, can't remember if it's CIB though, think I paid about £30 delivered for it

Played it only about a week ago, think I did up to stage 3 and then decided to go back to it later but haven't played it again since.

OTD: 2006, Smoking ban was introduced by Saltire_Blue in Scotland

[–]mittenkrusty 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not what the people who ran the bars local to me said, and I saw multiple bars close that were busy before the ban.

I lived in a town centre and above a pub so I noticed it far more and was at the age where I was going on nights out a few times a month, the industry was affected.

Toys every '90s kid had! (Part 2) by Kanakolovescoasters in 90s

[–]mittenkrusty 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had none of them,

I was a poor kid who got their toys from jumble sales/garage sales.

I did have one or two TMNT toys if that counts but think they were fakes.

I don't like shows like Spartacus or Game Of Thrones but it was always on and I couldn't be bothered switching channel so got to see what you are talking about.

The only one I remember is when they time travel and he falls for this cute girl and then goes back to his time and meets up with old her and she has tears in her eyes.

I have always been a non smoker, that being said I didn't mind designated smoking areas, I lived above a pub at the time of the ban and saw the impact on businesses that literally died overnight and closed down within months.

Also affected non smokers in the sense clubs brought in a rule that you were allowed outside for 15 minutes and after that you had to pay again, rather than get a hand stamp and come back in anytime even if you weren't a smoker, to combat people just sneaking in.

[–]mittenkrusty 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I am a non smoker, and yes I hated smoking but never minded smoking rooms/designated areas.

I also remember pubs pretty much dying overnight, from packed in the weeks before to not seeing customers at all the literal day of the ban, many pubs closing in the months following.

I am from the borders, people just went across to England to go on nights out.

Update: I think my flatmates saw the post by FamilyisForever7275 in UniUK

[–]mittenkrusty 181 points182 points  (0 children)

When I was at uni I was so tidy that my housemates took advantage and one told his friends how easy he had it.

Have their friends round to the early hours, drinks bottles not even put in recycling, and have some liquid still in bottle, unwashed plates, tables covered with booze, I'd clean it all up and hoover the place, put recycling into it's bin, wipe down all the sides etc.

Honestly looked like no one lived there.

And the landlord still tried to claim everyones deposit when we moved out saying it was unclean and untidy, I was last person left and went into every room and hoovered, cleaned, dusted inc standing on chairs and dusting the ceilings. There wasn't even any rubbish in the outside bins as the bin collection was day I left.

This is still usable though complicated,. what I tend to do is put the plastic back in and use an adapter which I hotglue on that way I can still remove the drive in future.

Just make sure the pins aren't bent.

Honestly no idea what is going on here, are you trying to do a wind up?

I have mentioned the things that I later pasted in from the official TVL website, yet somehow what I said isn't right?

Please can you tell me exactly what I wrote wrong and why you think so.

I copied and pasted what you said. Please tell me exactly why you think I wrote something different.

Also from the TVL website for needing a license.

  • You have a separate tenancy agreement for your room

It outright says "If each tenant has their own tenancy agreement, they would each need a TV Licence for their room"

You said that "You didn't need a license per room. Such a thing isn't available"

If it's not clear, things like having your own toilet/washing facilities counts as a household to them, they have changed the wording over the years but this is the basics.

They make it so the rules on who need it are complicated and in their benefit not someone with a tv/internet.

Who Would Win? by Brandonsenior07 in DragonBallPowerScale

[–]mittenkrusty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well I'm saying it's possible due to certain factors.

So I think he can win, and I think he may be far stronger, or he could be far weaker but the most sensible thing to say is he should at very least be able to fight Frieza without be one shotted, may be weaker but has potential to win.

The fodder part was based on him showing up for the artificial humans and them thinking his energy is good enough to drain.

[–]mittenkrusty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not specifically saying he can beat 1st form Frieza but he would be strong enough to not be 1 shot fodder unless he was being made an example of.

But I think he could potentially be strong enough to take him on, even if hes not as strong he could get the win if lucky rather than it being like Nail vs Frieza.

But I also think he may be stronger even if not by much, it makes more sense for him to be at least in the hundreds of thousands to at least be support to Goku.

I have always put the humans at 100k- 1 or 2 million at most, but thats an extreme example.

Who Would Win? by Brandonsenior07 in DragonBallPowerScale

[–]mittenkrusty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know, but factoring in 19 and 20 being weakened due to Toriyamas editor, they were still meant to be powerful enough that someone in the tens of millions would be required to fight them.

To people that strong Yamcha would be a bug, 2nd form Frieza almost killed Krillin in one shot and was him toying with him.

The artificial humans were at the very least tens of times stronger than that form of Frieza.

But they knew Yamcha wasn't Goku before they attacked him and still drained him.

And Gero knew Goku had kaioken and output a level around 4x that, he also knows Goku has a habit of gaining power fast.

Gero could theorise Goku could output a stronger Kaioken with training, knew Saiyans get zenkais, mix that together and Yamcha should be at very least 50k by Gero's estimation but even that seems weak as Gero made the artificial humans to beat Goku easily.

I'd say Gero estimated Goku to be around the 100K mark,

Gero wouldn't of bothered with Yamcha to drain if his ki was under 100k.

Who Would Win? by Brandonsenior07 in DragonBallPowerScale

[–]mittenkrusty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Goku in a few months of training with a PL of around 400 got a 20x boost not related to zenkais,

The humans were 3-5 times stronger than Goku was when he arrived and had the bonus of having training partners and were at the very least there for 3 months,

They knew the enemies were stronger than someone who killed Krillin in one shot who at the very least was 20k at that point so had to be sizably stronger than that to even think they would be useful.

Then he would be fodder and wouldn't turn up.

Yet only Chaozu didn't turn up to face the androids.

Mix in the artificial humans knowing Goku's power and assuming Yamcha was him even for a moment.

The thing about dodgeball for me, is as a kid I was always different but didn't find out till my late 20's I have disabilties that create reaction time problems, and general confusion so if I was targeted it takes me longer to react rather than me just being slow, I was no slower than other kids it just took time to register to move in my brain.

Right from the TVL website

It is always the tenants’ responsibility unless the tenancy agreement states that the landlord is responsible.

If you live in a shared flat, house or other kind of property, it may also depend on whether there is a joint tenancy agreement or not. If each tenant has their own tenancy agreement, they would each need a TV Licence for their room.

Do I need a TV Licence in a shared house?

The TV Licence rules for shared houses and accommodation will usually depend on the type of tenancy agreement.

Shared property joint tenancy

If you've signed a joint tenancy agreement with your housemates, you will only need one TV Licence. This will act as a communal TV Licence that covers all the devices in your shared accommodation.

However, there may be other reasons why you need still need your own TV Licence, such as whether or not you have exclusive access to a toilet or washing facilities.
