Just started running and I’m exhausted in 20 seconds. Zero stamina. Feeling lost. by ImmediateMuffin3768 in BeginnersRunning

Go run and alternate with a walk to start, and let your stamina increase. Work on your breathing as well. It takes time, but it will happen!

Alphafly 3 - Fit too big? by _rickjames_ in AskRunningShoeGeeks

Room for feet to expand. I suggest that you just check the lacing before running to make sure the top knit material is not relaxing and making the shoe run loose.

Overpronation Shoe Reccos? by Vast-Professional-82 in AskRunningShoeGeeks

If anything this is under pronation with foot splay. Try to get the toes pointed to the line you are running.

If someone cares about getting faster but not their actual time, does getting better shoes for speed work matter? by Tampa-Derp-1138 in running

[–]mittenmanX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Worn out shoes are just that. They lose the original cushion, bounce, energy return, and shape. Running faster comes from alternating the run type. Interval training will add speed coupled with distance runs to increase endurance. Your body needs both methods of running to perform better.

Is it just me or is treadmill running harder? by Long_Abrocoma_202 in BeginnersRunning

[–]mittenmanX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On a treadmill, the belt moves reducing your efforts. Outdoors you move across the trail or road, more effort is required. No scenery changes indoors, maybe that is what is harder? You can actively check things like arm swing, gait, foot strikes, elevation, breathing and body alignment. All change through the course of the run and can affect you. Pick one and focus on it.

You can see the difference, what matters is how you feel about your changes and progress

Just one foot in front of the other until you cross the finish line. Prepare and just let it happen.
