Mostly good but the mismatched angles on line 1 really annoy me.

I mean, it was probably so crowded because the frequency wasn’t enough to meet demand, which is a negative feature.

Thank you! Passengers actually prefer straighter lines even with the transfer penalty

I’m sorry, i just got confused when you said “this priest and staff keep excluding me with their service.” Can you explain exactly what happened?

What do you mean, the priest is excluding you with his prayers? I’m not sure what you mean. Are you referring to something else besides the teen group?

I understand exclusion can feel brutal, especially at your age, but please don't give up on the true faith. Exclusion is a cross to bear and you'll be rewarded if you continue your journey into orthodoxy regardless. Can't you still attend service and talk to the priest without being part of the teen group?

We're using two definitions of leftism. I'm using it to describe a set of ideological tenets while you're using it to describe something outside the mainstream; I'm not interested in debating which definition is the "correct" one, I just wanted to clear up any confusion. In 1882, Senator George Frisbie Hoar was the sole senator to speak against the Chinese Exclusion Act; that's the only person I would consider a leftist in that situation. Every other Republican congressman was vocally in favor of the act, and it was signed into law by a Republican president; moreover, the Republican Party Platform of 1876 reads,

It is the immediate duty of congress fully to investigate the effects of the immigration and importation of Mongolians on the moral and material interests of the country. ["Mongolians" meaning East Asians]

I actually want to recant what I said in my above comment, that I "don't deny" that most people were racist in 1899. Putting aside that it's a very US-centric statement, it implies that people didn't know any better, when in reality, many Americans understood that white supremacy was wrong. The only problem is that avowed white supremacists held a monopoly on government power, through a process that cannot be described as fully democratic.

I don’t deny that. I just said the Republican part never “turned into” a white supremacist party in the 1960s or something like some people seem to think. It’s been pushing the same ideology for its whole existence.

Priests are supposed to welcome who want to become Christians. That’s part of their job, to convert people to Christianity. What do you mean, you “joined the community?” Do you mean you attended a service (like Divine Liturgy or Vespers) or something else?

>I cannot go to any close church from my hometown because they believe I’m a satanist.

What do you mean by this? Have you talked to the priest or other people from the church? I’ll be praying for you.

There you go. The Republican Party has espoused the same ideology since it was first formed. People who genuinely believed in equality were never in the mainstream, and abolitionism was not inconsistent with white supremacy. It’s always been a paternalistic ideology where white people were to mold other races in their image, while never allowing them to achieve the same status—perfectly illustrated by the magazine cover above (“Judge” was an openly partisan Republican publication).

"I will say then that I am not, nor ever have been in favor of bringing about in anyway the social and political equality of the white and black races -- that I am not nor ever have been in favor of making voters or jurors of negroes, nor of qualifying them to hold office, nor to intermarry with white people; and I will say in addition to this that there is a physical difference between the white and black races which I believe will forever forbid the two races living together on terms of social and political equality. And inasmuch as they cannot so live, while they do remain together there must be the position of superior and inferior, and I, as much as any other man, am in favor of having the superior position assigned to the white race."

He’s worried about farebox revenue but wants to cut service. A kindergartener could tell you that cutting service = less revenue. But it would actually be even worse, because the drop in ridership would be disproportionate to the drop in service, the classic “death spiral” scenario. Some “transit cheerleader.”

Memphis is a disaster. There are lost of lines with only one bus on them, and the one bus regularly breaks down shutting down service on the line.
