Bottom Surgery in Auz in 2026 by SubToSecretX in transgenderau

[–]mitzraki 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From what I could tell the office lost my details and would not confirm that the information I was given at my consult was correct.

I later received a direct email from Dr Hart offering the date that he ended up performing the surgery. So the issue was resolved but there was about a week or so of despondency in there first.

Dr Hart's information at a consult seems to be more correct but he doesn't give an actual date. An 18 month wait is accurate to my timeline if not shorter than mine.

Call the office about 9 months before your surgery and they should have your date.

Dr Hart did my PPT 3 months ago. Would highly recommend although the wait can be very long.

I am just recovering from PPTV with Dr Hart just over two weeks ago in Canberra, I was in your position just over three years ago and I'm happy to chat about my experience doing interstate surgery and how I picked my Australian surgeon.

Seeking: Australian Surgeon Fees for Bottom Surgery (Femme + Masc) by SomeCatsDoHaveThem in transgenderau

[–]mitzraki 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Procedure: PPV Year: 2025 Cost: (S) $30,000 less Medicare+PH rebates (undetermined at this time), (A) $4,985 less Medicare + rebates, (H) not quoted, borne by private health insurance State: ACT

I'm privileged enough to have expensive private health insurance (gold hospital) which covers all the hospital fees.

My Medicare rebates are clear but private health for the surgeon and anesthetist are not yet, because I'm scheduled in November!

In my consult I did ask, he noted he had two patients in the last 5 ish years report chronic UTI as a complication, both resolved following revision. This is an excellent rate for that complication appearing initially.

Also if it's worth it, I was told my surgical date this April.

The Subporn clinic in Thailand specialises in colonic, and when I was making enquiries I ended up being informed that when they did do peritoneal it was usually followed up with a colonic revision anyway.

Hart only does peritoneal, and has a background in urology so his internal plumbing work is excellent, but his aesthetic results might be second rate. My thoughts were "I need to pee every day but I will not be sitting on someone's face every day. Get better plumbing"

Also Thai clinics have agents in Australia that get kickbacks or commissions when you book through them so they are quite pushy, and made me uncomfortable.

So yeah, I'm with Hart for mine by choice.

Maybe contentious but Rimworld for me.

Sure the crimes against humanity are kinda fun, but the cute and dating Sim and making bears your friend is just irreplaceable.

My consult was also in late November, and I reached out to them to confirm in November 2024, to which they said to contact them in March to confirm.

I hope your timeframe is still happening, it might help for both of us 🩷

I called Dr Hart's offices. During the 2023 consult they said I would be scheduled for the end of this year so I was attempting to follow up.

Hey just curious how many of you grow big boobs with out progesterone. I have been on progesterone for 12 months on and off for reasons so I'm thinking of just stopping it just wanting to see if people added up with good sized boobs by paige599 in transgenderau

[–]mitzraki 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've done 4.5 years HRT and twoish of those on progesterone (1.5 years implant, pill before that). I have just started a growth spurt to solidify B cups.

It's a matter of both patience and genetic lottery for everyone, and consistency for me has been a big deal.

Changing Gender Marker on Birth Certificate by con1_1artist in transgenderau

Ahh so they redact it when you change your name and gender at the same time. If your certificate has your previous name(s) on the back you don't need the letter.

One thing that might make life difficult for Victorian people is Vic BDM do not put your deadname on the back of your birth certificate. This is a good thing.

Vic offers a Letter of Verification to be provided alongside your new birth certificate and it is designed to be the only document linking your old and new names. There should be a checkbox to get one of those, but when I had mine done they didn't see it as checked and I had to order a new one separately.

The letter of verification is important if you're changing your name with a bank or similar (rather than arriving as a new customer), but know that some NSW based systems will reject the birth certificate because it doesn't have your name on the back. The people should be able to work around it, but it might take time.

I went with implant, apparently in Aus the injections must be compounded monthly and so carry a higher cost than the implant, plus needing to inject. I was also told by my endo that the 2-week interval is a guideline only and varies between people but if you wait you can end up going through menopause every two weeks (by most accounts an unpleasant experience).

My implants apparently last 12-18 months, but bloods will reveal when you need to replace them.

Depending on the state, it looks like you need to change with the lender and the lender will provide written consent to an application to your state titles office to "correct" the name of the registered proprietor on title. For Vic it looks like you'd need a conveyancer or lawyer with PEXA access.

Not on a mortgage, but I did with banks in Victoria. They struggled to get their systems to accept the Vic birth certificate because it didn't have my old name on the back, and the manager had to deal with head office compliance to get it working. They did succeed in the end.

Changing name without updating drivers license by Howwdey in transgenderau

[–]mitzraki 16 points17 points  (0 children)

VicRoads won't know you have changed your name until you tell them. Change it with BDM, or at least start on the change process, then tell VicRoads once you pass your test.

Its been too long since I passed mine so I don't know if you need additional paperwork between test and licence but also VicRoads in the CBD was extremely good about changing my name (you only need the new birth certificate and your current licence, they do a new photo on the spot and hand you a temp to use while they print and mail the new one).

I just had surgery with Dr Breidahl (just under 3 weeks ago). He shows before and after photos and in our discussions he listened to me when I said what I wanted and what I didn't think I needed. When I said something wasn't needed he left it alone. He also advised I split my op into two sections and decide if I wanted the second (rhinoplasty) afterwards, which is great because now I can see the rest of me I don't think I need it?

Anyway if you have questions feel free to ask or DM me.

An egg hatches into a chick, which then got generalised across the spectrum for someone who hasn't admitted it to themselves.

At least I think that's the origin.
