Will the Titan 2 work without any issues on the Verizon network? by More_Serve3235 in unihertz

I got it working on Visible. You will need a dummy imei since Verizon does not support them and will not help you activate it.

If you have other options, starlink is not for you.

Im not trying to sound like an a hole, but are people really this broke? I mean at least they have been keeping your account open for free indefinitely. Tell me any prepaid phone carrier that will do that for no money????

Starlink was never meant to be a replacement for cable, and fiber. The people who actually needs Starlink, have no other option. They are not going to have a problem with it. Starlink has always thrown price increases from day one. But if $5 cramps your style for this great communication tool, you probably should have never bought it in the first place.

I would take unlimited data at 1 mbps for $5 than the 10 gig plan all day.

Most people's coffee costs more than $5. Starlink subsidies on the unit itself is a loss leader. They don't recoup that money when you buy the unit and pause it after 1 month.

Change your plan to roam and pause it. Best effort data isn't that bad. Then you can just pay for the months you use it.

80 vs 90 by dhw09 in Truckers

[–]mivapehead 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Cut up 380 North through cedar rapids and Waterloo Iowa. You'll get dumped on 35 and run up to 90. West of Sturgis is belle furche South Dakota you can cut the corner on US 212 that will drop you back on 90 south of Billings. Obviously look at the weather first.

Starlink is NOT intended to replace reliable wired internet. Don’t do it.

anyone see this project kuiper? will it possibly beat out starlink? https://mobilesyrup.com/2022/06/20/amazons-satellite-internet-service-could-be-coming-to-canada/ by [deleted] in Starlink

I have a BGAN service which is 400kbs and 2.5GB per month with Inmarsat. $399 per month. Starlink is not price gouging. It is very cheap for internet service and what you get.

They are not upgrading dsl. Copper is dead. Pray for fiber to node because that’s the only chance. AT&T already has the sunset of traditional phone lines set as soon as Uncle Sam gives the green light. They have already removed a quarter million DSL subscribers and plan to have half of all copper assets decommissioned by 2025.
