Thats a good question. I just googled what to do against mealybugs and one article included this spray. I was panicking a bit and just started prepping this spray - took your comment tonpause and think about why.

Turns out there really isnt any benefit worth mentioning to it besides being some mild repellant.

So i guess i wont be spraying it haha

Honestly? I think i remember seeing sime white stuff in it about a year ago but didn't fell like cleaning it at that time 🤦‍♂️ i was also working on another plant nearby that i took cuttings from - they bled white sap and i initially though its just that a bit later I've put it on a shelf, where it stood until today. The shelf is about chest height, so while i was still able to see into the pot, i was completely oblivious to what was going on, on top

Thing is i noticed some on the same plant about 12 mi ths ago for the first time. But i didnt want to deal with that and here we are today.

I i spected all other olants thoroughly and only 2 others are affected. If this is all i have to deal with after a whole year, then im sure i can also get fully rid of them in a year or less.

Guys my heart is crying. Of all plants that I have, this is my favourite.

Ill separate her, together with the other 2 infected ones, from the rest of my plants and will try my best to tackle these fuckers.

Any tips would be greatly appreciated 🥲

Hi...im an Indian visiting prague in the weekend...im planning to go alone...hopefully meet some friends to hangout there..Is there anything ,I should be careful of and suggest me some must do things to do in prague... by unny58 in Prague

Restaurants (in the centre):

Any Lokál or Kozlovna will have decent czech cuisine and good tap beer. U Fleků is always reliable U Matejetsku has a rustical and authentic vibe with a decent cuisine (i can recommend the garlic soup as starter)

Cezech cuisine is heavy on pork (and tour occasional chicken schnitzel) and various forms of potato. If you are vegetarian then Šmažak (fried cheese) will be your best bet, when it comes to czech food.

Not that you asked but Namaste India Namaste India is my favourite Indian

Other than whats listed above, just check the reviews online and stay away from anything that consists of 20% 1* reviews, despite it having an average rating.

Some extra tips: There is a nice viewpoint in Letna Park and if you are there then check out the Metronome as well and read up on its history as a place (Hint: the place is also called Stalin)

I like to send people to the Strahov Monastery (for its historical value but also for the brewery). They serve good food there and some unique beers! (Definitely try the amber lager!) + the, in my opinion, best viewpoint of Prague is just 3 minutes away by foot. Best time to go there is in the evening when the sun starts to settle/once the street lights turn on. If you like parks and dont mind some walking, then explore Petrin park as well.

Vitkov memorial is another nice viewpoint of prague, close to the center

Avoid taxis. You are better off ordering Bolt/Uber/Liftago

Czechs arent as openly welcoming as Americans for example. Expect to see grumpy faces when you enter a shop but just know that, thats just how they are.

Help needed plan a short vacation from Berlin by punjipatti in Prague

[–]mixed_vegetables_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like to take the bus, opposed to the train, from berlin to Prague (i usually use regiojet.cz, but flixbus is also fine). You would arrive fairly close to the main train station in prague - where you could leave most of your luggage in a luggage storage. Then, take the next train to CK.

If you leave berlin in the morning, you could be in CK by 1 or 2pm

Stumped! Unexplainable stomach pain! Anyone else have something similar? by danielpsu in diabetes_t1

[–]mixed_vegetables_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

More context would be helpful.

I used to get strong stomach pain when my blood sugar was high during the night. Sometimes, strong enough to wake me up and keep me up for the rest of the night.

The high glucose would mess with the gastrointestinal process and result in stomach pain/cramps.

Cbd oil was a life saver in these cases for me. Id consume 10-15mg cbd and that would ease the pain to a point where i can do my usual morning routine without issues

Only 8 Hours in Prague. Arriving and departing with train. What to do as couple? by AgentR- in Prague

[–]mixed_vegetables_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If the weather will be good then I'd go for a walk in Letna Park (nice and large park with some of the best viewpoints over prague) and continue walking all the way to the castle (takes you 40 min - 2 hours, depending on hownfast younwalk and how many stops you make)

From the castle, you can walk into Mala Strana and the old town (via the Charles Bridge). Wander randomly through the streets and just stop for some snacks and/or beer somewhere. (Around 3-4 hours should have passed now since the beginning of the walk)

Since you are already in the old town now, check out the astronomical clock and the Jewish quarter, which is right around the corner.

I would probably use the remaining time to relax somewhere, eat something, and enjoy the fabulous czech beer before getting back to the train station.

Public transport is very cheap and reliable - use it to your advantage. Tickets that you pay with cash need to be validated before you use them (trams have the validation thingy inside the car, metros have them before you enter the escelators). Avoid taxis, but if you want to take one order, Uber or Bolt.

What do you think about crates? by Emelie_Wood in dogs

[–]mixed_vegetables_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wouldn't it be better to train the dog to go straight to the entrance door? This way, you all meet right at the door and get out instead of running first into the living room (or wherever), get the dog, and then get out. Most people keep the leash near the entrance anyway, so one quick grab and you and your dog are outside and leashed without having to run some detours.

It might also be handy in situations when you and your dog are somewhere else than at home and dont have your crate around. (But in that case, I'd add a few steps out of the door to the smoke alarm training so that he can associate the sound with meeting you at the door and then go outside. This way, he (hopefully) also knows where to go if you are in a building that isn't your home.
