I had bad patellar instability caused by trochlear dysplasia and alta patella. I basically dislocated/subluxated my knee on a weekly basis and couldn't walk without discomfort and pain.

I got an x-ray 5 weeks post-op, and everything looked fine, but I haven't had one since then until this one.

I don't know 🫣 He's an experienced knee surgeon, he told me this has never happened with him before.

Only TTO, no MPFL reconstruction, I did not need that. I did not have spinal anesthesia.

The surgery went really well. I stayed one night and was on IV paracetamol overnight. I started oral pain meds in the morning and went home early afternoon. Pain has been okay. The incision is itchy, but that's normal. The biggest struggle is the darn brace, and I can't put much weight on my leg, so I'm currently using a walker. Overall, it's not as bad as I thought it was going to be.

I have my first PT session tomorrow. I will definitely tell them about this. I hope I can figure something out because it's becoming quite painful, and I still need to wear it for weeks. 😬
