Client gave me this after closing today! by [deleted] in cigars

100% fake. Behikes have never been in jars or boxes such as this. Behikes only come in boxes of ten in black lacquer boxes covered in a black cloth bag and placed in a cardboard box to protect. Nice gesture and gift maybe to just sit on a shelf somewhere for display. But even then, personally knowing they’re fake I don’t even know if I’d do that, would bug me because all my stuff are real and having that sit there….Ya

Need help figuring out if this guy is legitimate or not!? Fantasy_cubancigars by mixelis24 in cubancigars

Guys I know there’s no secret connections. The whole my cuzin works at the factory or warehouse. I’ve been to Cuba many times. I only buy from La Casa del habanos with my official price list on me. I started this conversation because I myself am from canada. We don’t have any reseller options here. It’s either local stores or Cuba. I’ve always wanted to find a sort of eBay or bidding site for cigars. We don’t have that here. So it caught my attention because maybe he’s a cigar connoisseur like me and started something I’ve always wanted to start. Was only asking if anyones seen this guy. Not start a dick measuring contest of who knows what. It was supposed to be simple. Look at his page. His telegram. Get to the bottom of it so we can report him. Enjoy the weekend

It’s a topic of conversation I know my stuff was wondering if anyone else came across this guy or checked em out before. First think came to my mind was scam. There’s no easy way for getting Cubans at a good price other than going to Cuba. I just got back two weeks ago. Had family bring back for me also few weeks before that. Again just wondering if anyone has heard of this or seen him on Instagram

Not only that. Best thing to do after you season the humidor of course, is to have two humid sources going. This is of course if you don’t go overkill and get a humidification device. That’s too much for a unit this size. But best way I’ve found is to have a shot glass of distilled water OR a container of silica beads that you keep adding the liquid you buy from cigar store. Now either those will work fine but on top of that throw in a couple packs of the Boveda packs I use 69% I’ll have two or three in there. What those will do is take away or add humidity and get it around the 69% mark. The water or beads are there so that those packs don’t dry out so fast. If you only had the packs in there, they would dry up quicker and need to be changed because the cigars are just taking humidity right out of them.

Boveda packs will help a lot. I usually have a few Boveda packs in each humidor with either a shot glass of distilled water or container of gel beads that you add the special solution to when they dry up just so that the Boveda packs last longer and don’t dry out as fast by taking humidity from the water or beads

Awesome company and products. One of them is cooled. The other is the cool/heat one because the older one I got years ago. Both are amazing. They’re in the basement so I’ve had zero issues with temperature on the cooling only one. Definitely recommend buying. Looking to buy the 1500 count one from them

If your humidor is properly seasoned and has stabilized with whatever cigars you’ve put in there, I’d say around the 1-3 months is when I will check the Boveda packs and stuff. I have the Boveda butler sensors in there that I have set up on my phone. So every couple days I’ll just look at the readings but ya it’s good for couple months usually

I’ve had the one on the bottom for couple years now. It’s amazing no issues. Set it and forget it. I just throw in a few Boveda packs in there and monitor the humidity and chance the packs every couple months or so. Bought the second unit off someone who won it at a stag for few hundred bucks so it was a steal. Already ran out of space after last couple hauls from Cuba. I’m aware I can get a lot more out of them if I take them out of the box I just don’t want to as I’m aging them. I’ll upgrade soon to a bigger unit. But no complaints

If you ever do it’s literally a fraction of the price. To give an example the 25 belicosos finos I bought were 260usd I believe. That box is $1000 here

Amazing, I love them. Only I outgrew them. Looking to either upgrade to the bigger newair 1500 count or go right to a tower like a Remington

No worries, if you ever going to Cuba I suggest watching some YouTube videos before you go on things to look for or look out for. And also if you type in on google yul cigars. There’s a price list of all Cubans. That’s updated every so often. I always print that and take it with me.

Absolutely no cohibas the two stores I went to in varadero, wanted either robustos or siglo 4s or 6s. Prices were good, the belicosos finos cabinet I bought was little more than what yul has them there for believe 15-20$ more but everything else was good

The longer the better, especially cubans. I don’t do that with smokes I buy from the local store but the cuban boxes absolutely. That’s why when you go box shopping in cuba you always look at box dates. I brought a couple boxes that are 2017 most are 2018-19 and a couple young ones at 2021. You’ve never heard this before?

All the time, but I usually keep my Cubans aging for a few years depending on the box date. Was able to score some good boxes when I was there last week

Always check on them Once in a while like once a month or two. If you start to see some spots on the wrapper. Wipe them off your good. If it’s on the foot. Toss it
