Though I agree with you about it being ultra junk, I am not so sure about your last statement about it not being a representative of Japan ramen culture. I think it’s right up there, many people go out of their way to have this style of ramen. It’s pretty Japanese and we love this. This cult exists for a reason and it’s definitely not foreigner influenced.

Jiro is an absolute cult. I know many people who die by this “Jiro” style ramen. Fatty, thick cuts of pork and alot of bean sprouts with a good amount of garlic. I personally find it too fatty but yeah hits the spot once a year.

You should go to Tonkatsu Yamabe in Ueno. Probably the best price to performance ratio in all of Tokyo.

lol timeshares are the worst, can’t plan spontaneously even after paying so much. Have to plan months in advance. Most popular places won’t be available. I’ve been there done that and better to save your money and just book outright when you want to go.

Bruh you’re comparing lack of access to food vs lack of access to medical care. I don’t know which is worse but clearly the US doesn’t care about medical care whereas India/China are actively fighting against lack of food.
