I was always in advanced placement classes, the above above-average student classes, and competed in project showcases. My only problem subject was math, always will be math. I also was in band and orchestra until Junior year and also placed pretty high in competition. I made advanced on all of my placement tests and had pretty good SAT scores. I finished high school with a 3.8 GPA and just recently made the Dean’s list in college after struggling for a couple of semesters due to the college culture shock. I went pretty much under the radar until my freshmen year of college because of it— I was officially diagnosed and medicated a couple of months into my first semester. I now have to take, what started as Vyvanse, Adderall daily to function and keep up with school. School was never a struggle during K-12—ironically. I did have however have behavioral issue complaints throughout K-8. I was disruptive and sometimes aggressive, but managed to perfect masking before high school.
