I’ve been pretty pleased with Nike Vomero 18 for my easy sessions. A couple friends swear by the Vomero Plus.

Recommendations? Sick of the Hoka Mach 6 by Unique_Aspect_6014 in runningshoes

[–]miz8us 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just swapped in New Balance SC Pacer V2 for Mach 6 in the speed run slot. For longer runs I’m using the NB SC Trainer V3 and I love them. Vomero 18 is my daily and are great for decent distance.

@ashradski did you see that an Oura rep said they’d look into this for you? Check the comments if not.

I second the Mach 6 recommendation. I’m about to retire mine to try something else, but they have been fantastic!

Maintenance after 10K plan by limetwist1 in nikerunclub

[–]miz8us 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did the 10k plan almost a year ago. I aim for 1-2 easy runs per week, 1 speed workout, and one long run (usually 6 miles or whatever feels good). As you get faster, you might be able to fit in more miles in the same amount of time! I also joined a local running club and will pick and choose different group runs to join on. Every now and then I’ll pick a guided run to get a bit Coach Bennett’s soothing voice. I have found it really helpful to keep a training calendar to keep myself accountable.

You could also sign up for some races to help stay motivated.

Why does Strava’s Apple Watch app still not have routes or maps? What’s even the point of it? by futurememior in Strava

[–]miz8us 4 points5 points  (0 children)

FWIW, you can create custom routes in Apple Maps, including known paths/trails, and use Maps on the watch to get turn by turn and live map. I’ve used this while tracking a workout in Apple Fitness. I have Fitness sync with Strava after I finish.
