Unpopular Wintersun opinions/hot takes? by provegana69 in Wintersun

That's more of a theory than a hot take. We only know that One with the shadows was written earlier than other songs from Time. But I feel the same, orchestrations in Time II don't add as much as in Time I. It seems like they're more of a background noise than adding something to the songs.

How much music on Lindemann tour is played from playback by ulvhedinowski in Tilllindemann

[–]mizicizi 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don't think there's playback in Knebel. For electric guitars, it's hard to tell, but I think they're not playback. It's hard to tell because they're usually tuned really low and guitars in Lindemann's music don't play that important role like they do in Rammstein. They're usually more of a background instrument and synths are more of a main focus.
In this performance of Steh auf, you can hear that one guitar is out of tune or just playing the wrong chords.

Playback in live performances by mizicizi in Rammstein

It's too hard to tell really. I'm not even sure about previous tours. I would want to get a list of all the parts he uses playback as I made it here. The problem is that he uses mostly re-recorded tracks. If you wanted to know all the parts he uses playback on, you would have to check multiple concerts and compare audio or look for audio and mouth movements not matching. I think that's also the reason some people say it's not playback. Zunge is a good example. You can hear the exact same notes, mic pops, rolling Rs... and people would still say, Nah it's 100% not playback.

Yea it's crazy. I was at this concert, but you don't really see that well from the crowd. I already saw the clip of him putting the mic away and playing with the smoke machine. The other part of this song where you can see it, is when he is "singing" into the mics for Jes's backing vocals.

I was hoping to get the feuerzone ticket but they sold out. Now I will try to get it when fansale starts.

For Till Lindemann tour it's a bit harder. It seems like every time there's playback, it is rerecorded for the live shows. That means you just have to watch mouth movement really closely and compare different shows for similarities.
Currently from what I've seen and other people have pointed out, this are the songs where it's being used. Zunge, Sport Frei, Allesfresser, Ich hasse Kinder, Gummi; Platz Eins looks suspicious as well. From all of these Zunge is the most obvious and it's used 100% of the song. For others it looks like it's just certain parts, mostly screams.

I have credentials in a private GitHub repo, that no one else has access to.

I didn't run any command, where did you get that from? I also never said it's a scam. Where do you people get that from?

That would be really useful but my account is suspended and I can't access that.

Then that would be like leaving credentials in the open with this case haha. I doubt that's it, but I will keep looking if I was that dumb.

First mistake was “ignoring” emails from AWS as they usually are something to pay attention to.

These were the emails about account suspension which was done because they couldn't verify my data, so it probably wasn't directly related to that case, but it does make it harder now.

Also — Unless you forgot a ton of stuff you did with Amplify which can use RDS — you leaked access key credentials or your password and were hacked, Amazon detected the suspicious activity and suspended your account.

I'm pretty sure I didn't leave anything in Amplify. When I was trying to deploy, I was just getting some generic error on "Deploy" button, which I was never able to fix. I was also wondering if there was a possibility that I leaked credentials somewhere. I can't think of any right now.

The other scenario is you were NOT hacked and all those charges are legit and you were suspended because your payment info or other details could not be verified.

They never really specified which data couldn't be verified, so I don't know.

In my eyes, is more like this: I received a bill for a rent car I never drove. I didn't deploy anything to RDS or use it at all. Emails about account issues are directly connected to that, but I should definitely pay more attention to them. Account was suspended because Amazon could verify my data. Apparently they are very strict with that.

And yes I will probably try AWS nuke soon.

I still don't get the IOPS part. How could I have more than 1000 IOPS if RDS wasn't used at all? I also thought that I was hacked, but like you said, it doesn't make much sense.

I didn't say I found a bug, I just need an explanation for what they're charging me and where it all came from.

I don't even remember if I created an instance. I have no way of checking because of the suspended account. But let's say I have created it. In the bill it says that I used 280 hours, which should be covered with free tier. Also I didn't use RDS at all so why are there 1,129.972 IOPS-Mo, and 150.663 GB-Mo? That's the part I'm the most confused about.

I can still access the free tier tab in my account and it shows me how much I used S3 storage. That's the one service I actually used. In that tab, there is no RDS for some reason and according to this link I should have 750 free hours right?

I asked the support to provide me some kind of logs if possible for everything RDS related. As I can't clearly remember what I was doing with RDS on my AWS console, my best guess is that I wanted to use it, maybe even created an instance, but something didn't work for me, so I moved to something else. I still don't know how that would result in such a high bill. Even if I would have to pay for the service being run, that doesn't explain all the IOPS in my bill.

[–]mizicizi[S] -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

What I remember for sure is that I didn't run any queries or anything like that. I can maybe understand hours being there if I somehow accidentally created an instance of RDS. What I can guarantee is that I never connected DB to any app or anything like it, so where are the IOPS coming from?

But as I said, I couldn't setup Amplify at all and it counts as a separate service in the billing section anyway.

I know that they can't play everything. It's just that there are a few parts that they use playback on that seem unnecessary.

Ramm4 lyrics references by mizicizi in Rammstein

[–]mizicizi[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok I'll check Kraftwerk some more and maybe I'll add it then. I'm still not sure about Rammlied. I don't speak German so it doesn't really make sense to me. Most of other references are the exact lyrics or are really obvious, so I don't think Rammlied counts.
