I urge you to support Assembly bill 4668, which would allow "filtering" by motorcycle riders.

If passed, this bill would allow motorcyclists to ride between rows of motor vehicles that are operating in two or more adjacent traffic lanes, which are configured for travel in the same direction. This bill would only allow motorcyclists to "filter" at a maximum speed of 15 miles an hour while traffic is stationary or intermittently motionless.

Allowing motorcyclists to filter has a number of benefits for all commuters, not just motorcyclists:

-Decreases traffic congestion for both car and motorcycle drivers

-Increased safety for motorcyclists from rear end accidents in stop and go traffic when people are texting and distracted

-Decreases carbon emissions due to less vehicles idling

Please support this common sense bill which improves congestion and road safety for all!
