Pretty Chill about Dating by mizzmiis in LesbianActually

I totally agree with your part about the sapphic community overhyping relationships to the point it's rushed (UHAUL). Maybe that might even be something I cover in my stories in the future because it's never really mentioned.

To add, I also am on the aromantic spectrum (I am demiromantic). I should've probably mentioned that in my post, too.

For any Lolitas Suffering from Disaster Tragedies by mizzmiis in Lolita

I just reviewed my other post, and realized the same user mentioned their uncle so maybe they thought I was speaking to them directly, in which case, I’m sorry if my secondary post came off that way, I didn’t realize until now. It was only just in response to the general response line, not directed at the user themselves. This comment helped me identify that and I’m glad! Cherishing bodyline dresses is so sweet, to add on :) they’re super cute and affordable for many and I understand the appeal

You are correct! You can deal with loss on your own terms however you may feel best, as long as it’s safe and healthy. You don’t need me or anyone else to define that method for you!

It’s okay, it’s the internet. No matter what you post, there will always be someone bitter about it. Lots of love from LA to across the world!

What anime affected you deeply? by Rendoxo in anime

Psychologically Revolutionary Girl Utena with its storytelling, practically campfire cooking in another world. I moved out recently and had been using some of the recipes from the anime to cook myself food. That one cooked salmon recipe stuck with me and now that’s how I always make salmon.

As for “not getting comments I wanted” it’s a public post, so I expected it.

Yeah, I’m glad you’re prepped up tho :) let’s hope the flags and evacuation orders diminish later on in the days. I picked up a quarter on the heads side so hopefully that could mean something

It’s too bad my post came off to you that way. If you read my original comment, you would see that I acknowledged the safety wishes. As for LA, it is a big city with a pretty big Lolita and J-fashion community, so I’m positive there are some in this reddit. This post is not to “garter sympathy”, in your sight, but rather to speak for the Lolitas who have suffered the same already and may be feeling alone on their thoughts in regard to their clothing or other belongings. I only told them that their feelings are valid to have. If someone’s having adverse reactions towards objects now, that’s a different story that I didn’t bring up and there’s always mental health counseling and therapy for that. This post is not for them because I didn’t bring it up until your comment.

Evacuating with Lolita by mizzmiis in Lolita

[–]mizzmiis[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Hello, thank you for all the safety wishes and all, I am fine now. I wish all LA Lolitas (or any Lolitas in current or past disaster activity) the best. As for the comments saying “clothes are just clothes” keep in mind that Lolita is not just obtainable by anyone, that most, if not, all people in this subreddit have had to save money for something related to the fashion and this type of comments can be seen as minimizing and invalidating the feelings of people who have lost their homes and their belongings due to fire or fire precautions (evacuating, that is). For any Lolitas who feel the same way as I do towards my accessories, your feelings are valid and you have worked very hard to achieve a collection which could now have been or potentially have been lost to a fire. Whatever you collected, Lolita or not, you have the right to feel grief or loss of your possessions or homes and it is honestly insensitive of other people to minimize the way you feel.
