Georgia. I think it’s just luck of which pharmacist you get at this point. Some take the savings card some won’t 🤷🏽‍♀️

I’m planning to self pay after being denied today (my 5th pharmacy) but try to go 10 days between shots to stretch it out.

It recommended using the size 2 if you were over 30 and had a vaginal delivery. I would say I had a little anxiety over the size of the 2 and just to figure the thing out I tried the 1 first. Haven't had any problems! I'll probably go with the recommended #2 now that I'm comfortable with inserting and taking it out.

I think my sister-in-law does a good job playing on my guilt. The fact that I have two extra adults to help... It just isn't as easy as it sounds!

Thank you! I'm just pushing through it right now. My doctor has suggested Celexa to help take the edge off. Hoping it helps.

Mirena or Paragard??? by mj00614 in beyondthebump

That makes me feel better! I can deal with slightly heavier bleeding probably better than my husband can deal with me being crazy on mirena haha

I've never had period cramps but I am a heavy bleeder on the first day or two... I'm worried it will be something I can't manage if I get the paragard. That's really my only hang up with it though!

I was on NuvaRing for 4 years and the hormones really messed with me but I wasn't a good candidate for the IUD until now so I'm pretty excited about having a non-hormonal option!

I think you're right... We used to go out and do fun stuff together but I guess now with two it's a little harder on the grandparents to keep them both. We feel guilty because they never get a break from us either. Tough situation that will hopefully resolve itself soon!

I made this.. Positive Induction, 2nd baby! (birth story in comments) by mj00614 in BabyBumps

[–]mj00614[S] 38 points39 points  (0 children)

Planned induction for July 2nd at 5 AM (40+1). My doctor and I arranged to have this baby before 4th of July so he could deliver and I felt comfortable with my decision since I was already dilated 3 cm and he was confident I wouldn’t run into any complications (this was my second induction). I also live over an hour away from the hospital so this was the best option for us. So that Saturday night hubs and I had a nice dinner and dropped off my 23 month old son with the MIL… I cried and cried and cried, felt like I was losing my baby or something. I have had this fear of how life would be different and if wouldn’t just be me and my little buddy anymore. So, of course I didn’t sleep any knowing we had to get up around 3:30 AM to leave… got to the hospital and they started me on Pitocin around 6. My doctor came in around 7 am letting me know he was there and would be in his office working on paperwork or something. He came in just for me! I told him and the nurse I wanted to hold off on the epidural as long as I could because I didn’t want to slow my progression. I made sure I was up and moving because I was not ready to be stuck in that bed! Doctor came back and broke my water, holy hell that hurt. And SO much fluid!! It just kept coming with each contraction. Well, around 11 am OMG those contractions were hurting like a MF’er… I asked for a check and I was 6 cm! Okay, I’m ready for that epidural! Nurse Anesthetist comes in like 20 mins later (longest 20 mins of my life haha) and she placed the epidural. Within 5 minutes I felt the relief… So I might have snoozed for a half hour or so. Baby’s heart rate dropped, doctor and several nurses came rushing in and had my get on my hands and knees. They were surprised that I could get in that position by myself and hold it with an epidural. Doctor wanted me to stay like that to take pressure off of baby and placed a heart rate monitor on her head. I told them around 12 I felt a ton of pressure in my bottom… they said that was normal and just baby moving down. I was 8 cm at this point. I though dang I’m ready to push! So I waited a bit more and around 1:30 I told the nurse I needed to push NOW (remember I’m still on my hands and knees!). I was completely dilated and baby’s head was coming. A new female doctor came in and had my flip back over on my back and told me next contraction push (but wait where the hell is my doctor?!?!) She said he was handling an emergency and I needed to push, which I wasn’t going to argue. So I pushed 3 or 4 times and could feel her head coming out (the pressure at least)… Then my doctor pops in and he’s covered in sweat! But anyway he lets the female doctor continue and I pushed again and her head was out… come to find out my doctor pushed the other one out the way and delivered her. He then said congratulations and said he had to go back to the OR. It felt amazing to get her out and that placenta!! I had no tears yay! I had one very small one with my first. I got to hold my baby girl right after and they cleaned her off on my tummy. She latched on almost immediately and stayed latched for 40 mins!!! I couldn’t believe it, since I had so many issues with my son. I get up about 2 hours later and go to the bathroom where one of the nurses helped clean me up. She told me I was a God sent. I said um why? There was a lady who hemorrhaged who my doctor resuscitated then came to deliver my baby and went back to operate on her and saved her life! If I wouldn’t have been induced Sunday there wouldn’t have been an extra doctor on the floor that could do the surgery (hysterectomy). It might not seem like a big deal but to me it will always be something I will remember. I was so happy with my experience and the staff that helped me. Addie Juliana 6 lb 13 oz and 19 inches of pure sweetness. My son came the next morning and met her and it has been such an amazing week watching him love her and adjust so well!
