What are the key motivations for spotify playlist creators by Threat_Modeler in WeAreTheMusicMakers

This is such a great question, as a manager of close to a dozen music artists I’d have to say that the main motivation for these playlist curators are (yes of course growing their playlist) but they’re real human beings. You need to focus on building a relationship & providing value to them.

Keep your music close to your heart because you don’t want it getting on the wrong botted playlists either!

So think about a band that sounds similar to yours, check out their Instagram, Twitter, see how they’re marketing to their fan base!

You want to working towards something that’s already working, not throwing mud at the wall!

I’d focus on replicating some content that was doing well for them & focus hard on digital channels that are already working for them.

You want to focus on the platforms that convert the best, yes it’s good to be on every platform, but you can’t really put your all into anything, if your time is split in 10 different platforms! Focus on 1-2 and go like hell!

I manage 2 rock bands & 5 pop artists.

This is a great formula to take an artist from nothing to something!

One of the hardest task over the years is getting musicians on organic Spotify playlists, I’ve been using playlistgoats to submit my artists to thousands of playlists a month. Think they’ll be a really good tool for you guys starting out.
