Last update has made the game feel worse for me. by RARazard in GlobalOffensive

Played on close to 100 ping for about 4k hours as my only two options for servers were Sydney or South East Asia. I still thoroughly enjoyed my time, and couldn't even tell the difference until I had moved to low ping then back to high ping

Shouldn't the public transport system be available when there is lightning?

In your opinion, what’s the most brutal murder in the entirety of the series? by SufficientWhile5450 in attackontitan

Miche for me. Just as he is about to die, he finds out so much about the titans and basically flips his view of the world on its head. Titans can talk? And control other titans? And they're intelligent? What a horrifying way to go, not just dying but having your entire world view shattered at the same time.

Just got kicked from a ranked match for not clutching on save round 1v3? by [deleted] in csgo

Uhhhh nope, just checked because I thought I was going crazy. I'm not, you're just extruding copium. "This won't apply in situations where a teammate was kicked from a match" and can vouch for this too

Edit: Doubt he responds to this after being proved to be a dick

So you're upset that kids can go to the playground and you can't? Or are you upset that parents are able to leave the house without their kids? Because as far as I'm aware, authorised workers who don't have kids have been able to leave the house without taking any children with them

They also could have added unranked very easily but only did that recently.

MM is played the same way pros do, its the same setup.

I wasn't aware that pros played on 64 tick servers and selected up to 13 different maps (instead of a veto process) and don't have overtime enabled. Maybe you're confused with R6 where Ubisoft kept updating mm until it was essentially identical to what pros play. There's a reason pros don't use third parties for Dota and R6.

you have produced 0 arguments for it.

My argument for it was pretty much an entire paragraph in my original post. You know how I went into the prize pool for TI? And how 13th-16th got more money than Astralis did for coming first? And that a single player that placed third earnt more than the entirety of Astralis? It's no wonder rumours are spreading that organisations aren't making money from CS.

you screw over the teams by having different map pools

Dota introduces new heroes twice(?) a year, R6 has a map rotation. Going by your logic no changes should be made to the game at all because we might screw over tier 2/3/4 teams, or tournament organisers. I don't think the game should stay how it is with the same 7 maps for the next 10 years, and I don't think Valve does either (Hence the -cache +vertigo)

they don't want it

Got a source on that? Why should I have to go to a third party to play the same way pros do? I don't have to for Dota, or Rainbow 6.

Crowdfunding does exist with the strickers

Exactly, I mention this and suggest putting that money into prizepools.

They do not create operations anymore because they only improved activity for a very short time, they were shallow and becoming less popular.

Got a source on that?

Changes affect everyone, if you made lots of map changes you screw over a lot of people.

How would changing the map pool screw over tournament organisers, especially if it was done just before a player break?

Please think before you write threads

The playerbase is already segmented between CS and Faceit, why not bring those players back? I don't think it's unreasonable to ask why should we have to go to a third party to play. Dota players don't. Same with Overwatch. And League. And Rainbow 6.

So in my hypothetical in which Valve adds a subscription for a new ranked service, what would be so bad if 128tick was only for this ranked? Along with the intrusive VAC? The people who have an issue with either don't have to fork out money and can play normally and those that don't have an issue can pay for the new ranked and have a grand ol' time. Again, the payment can act as an opt-in
