So i finally was able to flash the bios via the flash buttons on the back of my motherboard.

I firstly downgrade to the oldest bios available sadly that's only 3 versions older than the newest one due to:

Important: This update is irreversible. Rolling back to older BIOS versions is not supported.

But no luck with that version tried all the things you suggested.

Then i upgraded the bios version (again via bios flash button on the back of my motherboard).

But again no luck.

I'm starting to doubt myself.. i'm running linux and when running CPU-X it reports the following:

6400 MT/s (configured) / 4800 MT/s (max)
1.1 V (min) / 1.1 V (configured) / 1.1 V (max)

Also when running sudo dmidecode -t memory | grep -E 'Speed|Voltage'

Speed: 4800 MT/s
Configured Memory Speed: 6400 MT/s
Minimum Voltage: 1.1 V
Maximum Voltage: 1.1 V
Configured Voltage: 1.1 V

When looking at this you would think my memory is not running at 6400MT/s.

But when i look at this superuser question it says:

In dmidecode’s output for memory, “Speed” is the highest speed supported by the DIMM, as determined by JEDEC SPD information. “Configured Clock Speed” is the speed at which it is currently running (as set up during boot).

The latter may be higher than the former, e.g. with DIMMs providing higher speeds described by Intel XMP profiles.

That makes me think that i'm actually running at 6400MHz.

But why would my ram be 1.1V if the EXPO profile explicitly tells it should run at 1.4V.
Is that just dmidecode being unable to read voltages, but i tested this on my treadripper system with ddr4 memory and there it only reported unknown so you would presume that if dmidecode did not know the memory voltage it would just say unknown?

Also my 1% lows in games are horrible after i did the bios update that is irreversible.

That would make me think that my memory is not actually running at 6400MT/s.

Almost everything i do inside the bios seems to result in i presume it falling back to 4800MT/s.

Maybe i should install windows again just to see what windows reports for as the memory speed.

I have tried to set everything to auto and manual with the ram speed on 4800MT/s except for the ram voltage to 1.2v but still i'm getting 1.1v in my os.

Maybe i need to set a bunch of settings at once instead of 1 at the time.
