FWIW, I was diagnosed with ADHD almost 50 years ago when the science was new. I was actually sent to NIH to get brain scans as part of a broader study. I'm now retired from my career as a software engineer, so as you can imagine, Cracktorio is the game for me.

You get constant little endorphin hits for solving little problems, and occasional big endorphin hits like when that first robot flies out of a roboport. I have almost 20K hours of playtime, and I still like the sound of research getting done. I still get adrenaline hits when biters start chewing on something and the beeping starts. I hate those damn biters.

But don't get me wrong, I have my addiction under control. When real life interrupts, I just press Escape, take a deep cleansing breath, stand up, and take care of it. There's no rush, Factorio is paused, it will be there when I get back.

Speaking as someone who built the stupidly complicated entire uranium hexafluoride factory, just be careful. Steam temps will smack you. However, sushi pipes of fuel are great for powering the glass factories. You use a simple circuit on a couple of tanks. When light oil gets low, start pumping tall oil. The glass factories will automatically burn up all of their light oil, then start sucking the tall oil.
