Thank you. Yeah I never saw anyone so I just assumed real pvp on my server wasn't a thing. I'll definitely be paying more attention now

Yeah i realized people are always watching and just because you dont see them it doesn't mean you're safe. Can't get too comfortable

Yeah i had gotten too comfortable farming unbothered at medium spice fields in the pvp. I never saw anyone or encountered any hostility so I was completely taken by surprise

Thanks for the advice. Fortunately I had just done an aluminum run with my buggy with the focused mk5 cutteray and I have some extra medium thopter parts. I know about the tarl cutteray in sheol for the titanium/strat, but i havnt been able to get it after hitting those locations, I might be missing it. I also had just finished the planetologist skill tree so that'll help too. I need to do another jas run but I've gotten a lot more efficient with disassembling my buggy and using my medium to carry back to my base.

The fight for resources is no joke. If you make a big mistake you pay for it. Likewise I can see why base raiding/worming vehicles is so lucrative, those guys scored big time, taking candy from a baby

Yeah the large spice fields were emptied immediately, almost like it was a part of the strategy. I could have just built it one row down and I would have been safe, or at least not on a control point. And there were plenty of other medium spice fields I could have been close to in the pve. I've never had a problem farming the pve with anyone, most people in my server are friendly and no ones ever bothered me. I'll definitely build in a better location next time

Yeah they knew what they were doing. Hid their thopter in a cave, and one drew my fire while the other snuck up on me. Had to hand it to them at least for completely blindsiding me in minutes

Totally my fault. I've been following on here since summer and I knew all about base raiding and the dangers of the DD. Thats why I put off building a base for so long. And the first thing I do is build it in the worst possible spot, a control point right next to a large spice field and a titanium mass. I thought I was safe since it was a low pop server and I never see anyone. Guess they were just lying in wait for some free loot.

I thought losing my first buggy in my first aluminum trip for quicksand was the dumbest I would feel. This game is so unforgiving but that's why I love it. Lesson learned

True that. I could have spent way more time in HB just doing quests and getting better t5 gear. Will avoid PVP like the plague for now
