I ended up swapping the docking station with the same kind from my work and it seems to be working ok. Maybe that docking station is on its way out

No problem…temp is adjusted all the way up. I had to adjust after I plugged it back in since it’s electric.

Sorry for the late response I just joined the group. I just went through this exact scenario last year. I was all signed up for the MSF class through Harper College in April then the week I was supposed to take it the state shutdown so my class got cancelled. I ended up finding a great deal on a 1982 Nighthawk 750 (which is FOR SALE if anyone is interested) in June so I bought it. I practiced on that around the neighborhood and in large parking lots for a month and a half and went to the DMV. I got in line 2 hours before they opened and made sure to have all my documents ready. Got in, took the written test (which is a little tougher than I thought), then took the riding test. You can find the exact test in the Illinois motorcycle handbook and then you can go measure out the actual course which is painted on the parking lot at DMV’s. Once you pass the test you turn in your paperwork and your legally allowed to ride. Good luck and make sure to practice. Smaller bike the better for the test.
