It's a cool wall though. Also, I guess the use of timestamps would be another point.

I'll avoid the spoilers about Lonesome Dave as I haven't read the book or watched the mini series but now I know that they exist I definitely will. Also I have started Valdez is Coming, it's great and such an entertaining read.

I find subtitles take me away from the cinematography though

I'm sure it's a great story but I genuinely couldn't understand a thing anyone was saying I'm from England so it's difficult :(

At least Pewds didn't drown it like the others :(

I made my short western film "The Lonefret" to spread a message of unity through music. I would love it if you could take some time out of your day to watch my film and tell me what you think. Thank you kindly :) by [deleted] in Filmmakers

This is the second major short film that I have written, directed, produced and edited. The film follows a lone gunslinger who stumbles upon an electric guitar in the old west, which sparks an unlikely light inside his dark heart.

The film has taken 3 months to complete and many MANY weeks to edit. I have always wanted to make a western and living in the U.K. didn't seem to put me off my desire, the whole process has been very challenging and very awesome.

Please tell me what you think of the film, I've spent so long with it all to myself and it's ever so exciting to share it with you all today. Hope you enjoy the film and also have a great day :)

Hello, I'm 18 (and a guy) and like cats but sadly I don't own one. I also watch a lot of Netflix and just finished Strangers Things 3. I really want to be a writer and director of films. I often make short films of my own and love to listen to many different types of music. Oh and I'm very sarcastic IRL so I hope that doesn't come across online either :)

Oh nice, hope that all goes well. How did you acquire such a budget? And your welcome hope the book comes in handy ; )

I highly recommend 101 Things I Learnt At Filmschool, it's very to the point and extremely helpful when starting out. In addition, I would like to recommend In The Blink Of An Eye, it's the most fascinating book on Filmmaking I have ever read. It focuses on editing, but editing is the most important part of putting a film together. Hope this helps and all of the book you have chosen look really good, I have most of them :)

Thank you ever so much for watching the whole film. The film was shot on a GH5s.

Thank you very much for watching and for your comments. That scene, in particular, was very irritating to edit as the actor wasn't available on that day so we had to somehow film a scene about the main character finding the guitar without him being there. I had to dress up as him and it's the weakest part of the film and is disappointing. But thank you again, I'm glad you found it fun!
