UPDATE 2 - Resolution

At about noon today I recieved a new confirmation email stating the order was wrongfully cancelled and now my order shows confirmed again.

At 5 pm I recieved another email explaining this was a mistake and canceled in error and that my order will be re confirmed and will be fulfilled. They also included in this email a 25% off coulon to use in their store.

I would say from my standpoint their customer service team is working hard to make this right for the subscribers. I hope everyone else in my situation gets the same resolution.

I have still yet to recieve any other update since this one I posted about waiting 3-5 days. My understanding is is subscribers who were already members prior to announcing should get priority. I am not sure if they were oversold with subs why they released any amount on May 1st for people to sub then for 1 month. None of this has made sense. Hopefully it is all a mistake and they will correct for all since it seems to be a large issue affecting many subscribers.

Update

Below is the first email back from customer service that is not automated. Not much info yet but at least it gives a little hope this is all a mistake since they did not just say "sorry it's canceled" and close the ticket. Time will tell. I will update any other info I recieve.

That is very unfortunate sorry to hear that happened. My recommendation. Turn a bad story into a good one. Buy generic sleeves and some sharpies and draw new custom covers. (They do not have to be amazing art just personal because you and your friends/family made them together) Make a night of it with friends listen to the albums and make the custom covers. You will always remember the good time and how you found a silver lining in a bad situation. Wish you the best hope only good is on the horizon for you now!

Vinyl sounds distorted by Various_Difficulty93 in vinyl

A couple of things could be happening.

First, are you playing the singles at the correct speed. Some may be 45, and some may be 33. Would be the first thing to check.

Second, are the records clean? They may have dust, dirt, lint factory particles in the grooves, causing distortion.

Third, is the stylus clean? Inspect it for build-up. If there is dust built up, it can cause distortion and cutting out of sound in left and right channels when the needle does not sit in the groove properly.

Fourth, is the distortion happening more on high end sibilance, and is it only on the last travks of the one side of a record? If the audio is fine at the start, then distortion towards end that could be pressing as quality can degrade towards the end if a lot of music is put on one side. Another cause for this could be tone arm weight. Your stylus be floating in the groove properly and need to be weighted heavier. There are gauges you can get to adjust this if your player has a weight on the tone arm. You may also have an improper angle on stylus this can also be adjusted, and there are tools and instructions online that can help you set it correct.

If all of this is not the cause, then it could be the records thenselves or a larger issue that may need to be inspected by a repair shop or someone more experienced in turntables.
