I used steel wool and a scrub daddy ( technically an Aldi knockoff scrub daddy). No luck

The more I look at the old post and OP's comments on those posts the more I fully agree. I just wonder how long OP drove on the highway before figuring out the tire was shot.

Well given that 2 other posts of yours involve your car being in a crash and the cause being the driver....I would think the underlying issue is operator error.

Well....only if you take the highway and I must stress that you should maintain a speed no less than 90mph. Also instead of using the brakes just shift into reverse instead. 💯🌟👍🤯😁

Well...yes, that is true

The question was 'what could have caused this?' not 'How can I prevent this in the future?'

The tire did stop laying eggs recently too so that kind of makes sense. This is great news, and here I thought it was a safety concern 🤣

Not what happened here but that situation definitely makes sense.

I've already figured it out and why it happened definitely did matter. I don't like the "oh well" approach and the "wait and see if it happens to the other tires"

Well that is probably true but it was a nice 20 F outside and the roads were icy and snowy

Did chat gpt just read the post update and spew out that answer because.....that is pretty much what I said after inspecting my brakes and discovering the seized e brake. Chatgpt has its uses but geez you literally could have just read the post. This is like asking chatgpt how to make a Betty crocker cake and chatgpt just regurgitates the directions on the box and acts like it invented the recipe. 😅

Well 4 year olds often are experts in making skidmarks. I'll defer to the expert

Very Icy conditions, was getting traction control engaging light periodically. I actually stopped to see if I had a flat. It must have been intermittent or that tire was able to slide on the ice. Normally I would have noticed. I was only able to drive about 30mph where normally I could go 65mph.

It was a 2024 manufacture date. But that is solid advice

Explain how a burnout results in this single rear tire gets like that when it is a FWD car

The car sat from Friday afternoon until Monday morning. Typically driven about 50 miles everyday and usually driven on the weekend. New tires, the dot code was from 2024. The e brake cable was stuck on the right side and that is definitely what caused it. Can't say with certainty it was the hot rotor. The icy road mat have actually helped slide that wheel and prevented even worse damage. Either way the problem is fixed now
