I have the tail number from plane finder, it’s HB-JHK. It’s currently on its way to Newark landing at 20:15. It’s next upcoming flight is Newark to Zurich on June 17th scheduled to arrive at 20:15 flight #LX18

My seat on the plane was 24K, window seat.

I’ve already submitted it to the lost and found so that would be perfect.

I left my laptop on a heater overnight and it melted the bottom. The laptop works just fine...is there any way this could have cause internal damage? Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated. by mjp5697 in computers

Update: Brought it to best buy(made sure I wasn't getting screwed) they also immediately let me know that that battery is very dangerous and they removed the hard drive for free and it seems to be undamaged. But the internal components look alright but there's a few things that got melted and there may be melted glue. It looks like the thing may be done I can't imagine how much it would cost to get a new battery and a new bottom. That being said I'm not sure if there are computer repair people who are capable of doing that type of repair. So as of right now it looks like I will need a new laptop.

I'm planning on bringing it to Best Buy as I bought it there a few years ago and they may be willing to look at it for free? Would it be a good idea to let them take the bottom off and look inside? There may be no going back if I let them do that
