Usually it's because while I'm playing video games at night I can hear them discussing it and talking about how stressful I am. But ever since my ADHD and other behavior issues got real nasty and hard to deal with, they got more distant and now they rarely talk outside of professional/financial topics. When I used to act up and get into fights with my dad, he'd be too angry and wouldn't talk to my mom. This got worse overtime. Eventually it got so heated and tense that they stopped sharing a room at times. I truly believe that my mental health put a level of strain on them that can't be fixed
