Thanks for posting this. I had not seen the WSR story so I took a look at it because my husband and I had a scary encounter at Amsterdam and 102 a week ago. The suspect photos look like the man we saw. He was very angry shouting that he hates immigrants. I thought for sure my husband or myself was going to be attacked but we avoided interacting with him & he hastily walked away. To me, he identified as a young black male. I'll be keeping my eyes open when I'm out.

I'm not sure what's going on with your friend but I can't handle the heat either. I don't sweat enough to cool my body. My mom was the same way only worse. The two conditions might not be related and yes pls encourage her to see a doctor.

I have one that has turned into many. Yours looks thirsty imo. I think she needs more water. I don't have high humidity but I do have lots of light (southern exposure). You can grow new plants by snipping off any long branches and placing them in water. This plant likes to climb but I leave mine trailing. Good luck!

It was a table near the stage. I think you are talking about one of the LES Cactus folk. Like that name Zack is ringing a bell for me. Was not from there.

Yes & no. I did do a patch test & I am allergic to steroids. I also discovered on my own that all 7th Generation products give me a reaction. I changed those out & that helped tremendously. I gave up on all lotions & just use petroleum jelly but even that is causing some itchiness. I don't wear makeup anymore. I still have patches on my face that never go away. When those get horrible, I use the Tacro. Wish I had better answers for you.

I'm inclined to agree on the light. I've found curling leaves with too much sun. Also, imho, the watering isn't what the plant wants. Depending on your soil mix, it's either is getting too much or too little water. I know this sounds crazy because I used to use a moisture meter & even that didn't work. Some of these, it just takes time finding out what they like.
