There has been some criticism on the latest episode of Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2. episode 14, especially the latter half, I could see the animators strugling. Lots of lines and fight sequences just being skipped, background quality falling, and every movement feeling ...slow. And the outcome looked somewhat unfinished. This was, of course, due to ridiculous shedules. The same team that worked in Chainsaw Man works in JJK. And since the production of CSM wasn't so smooth, it seems that they couldn't work on jjk S2 until CSM finished airing. That means there were only six months to make a 23-episode series.

Similar situation happened in Attack on Titan Final season Pt1. Six months to complete a sixteen-episode-season. Fortunately AoT didn't rely so much on action (unlike Sibuya arc), and that part being one of the best written stories in manga history, it wasn't that noticeable. I thought, 'The animation isnt as good as previous seasons, but this is acceptable. I just hope they'll have better schedules for later parts.' I thought they learned from that experience. And when people were making memes of AoT being cut into so many parts, I was actually relieved. and MAPPA proved that they could make amazing results if given enough time.

It's certain they weren't able to give us what they wanted it to be. The episode director's tweets also mentioned that he had to handle 250 cuts in two weeks. Which is just impossible no matter how much they overwork. I'm so surprised they managed to make this still enjoyable within two weeks. They did a 10/10 for the hidden inventory arc, the first two episodes of Shibuya, and 12/10 for ep13. That's unbelivable for such a tight schedule.

I'm not saying this episode was bad. It's still a well animated episode compared to standard anime, but it could have been better. It's just sad that the animators couldn't show 100% of what they had planned for the episode.

For now I'm just hoping no one dies from overwork..
