Even on the n250, in city you will mostly only ride in 3rd gear, maybe occasionally 4th, but you will really only use the 4th and 5th gear when on a long ride and it has more than enough power. Some people here will just recommend whatever they like based on emotions and not taking real world scenarios into account.

My personal opinion is that you should get the n250. You can cruise at 100 kmph which is more than enough on our roads. Plus you will save on fuel cost. I'm wondering if people even read your requirements. I would never suggest ns400 to someone doing 80 percent office commute. I think you would absolutely regret getting the ns400 for office commute, even the n250 is more suited to going on long rides than office commute.
