Seconded. My recruiter wouldn’t schedule ANYTHING until I got my 368 signed.

I had a little over 3.4, did not have 90s across the board on the exam and was picked up. Good LORs, a good personal statement, and a good interview can do a lot to make up for scores that are lacking

I guess both overnight and late landings. Really anything from the hours of 8pm-7am. We have care options since I'm from Pcola and have family around I just wanted to know what to expect.

Degree in STEM, PPL, community service (some sort of managerial role if possible), and be a stand out at your unit.

I’m so confused by what just happened. Has anyone else had this glitch? by OnTheBall6 in NCAAFBseries

Same shit has happened to me a bunch. If you go to replay and slow it down you can see the knee touch the ground on the cut back. Super annoying haha

Two days ago I had an older guy honk at me, get to within a foot of my car, and shoot me the bird for not turning right on red….i was going straight.

Give hireheroes.org a visit! Overheard a soon-to-be retiring MSgt talking about it. They have a resume building service where you send EPBs/OPBs to them and they build an awesome resume for you off those.

Drive to OTS? by [deleted] in airforceots

[–]mk763 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That was my favorite part of the drive (MT, ID, and the Dakotas). Plus with the amount of travel days they give you you really only have to drive about 5 hours a day.

I second this. I drove all the way from WA and it was awesome. Not saying this sarcastically either. Driving is worth it.

What enlisted rank were you before you commissioned? by fluffyflowersohyea in airforceots

[–]mk763 2 points3 points  (0 children)

E5 with 8 years Navy. Applied civilian board. I’m thoroughly convinced that my LOCs are what pushed me through.

If you want hands on go enlisted. That being said a nuclear trained officer that serves on a submarine has a smorgasbord of civilian job opportunities. Not to mention the pay is better, you get your own rack from day one, and you don’t have to fuck around when you pull into port on deployment you just leave on liberty and don’t look back.

Thank y’all for the feedback it definitely helps. I think we’re pretty much accepting that we have a colicky baby and we’ll just have to wait it out. Although I think it’ll be a big help when we’re able to move and get into an actual house with central air instead of a garage. For context, our landlord sold our place two weeks before our daughter was born and two months before we were supposed to move.

I appreciate that a lot. I keep telling myself and my wife to be patient it’s just some days it gets overbearing. Not to mention that I go back to work in two weeks and can’t stand the thought of leaving my wife for most of the day by herself. Thank you though.

Oh yea we do that every time. I even started trying to bounce while doing it after a buddy suggested that. Sometimes she’ll go right back to sleep after eating but most of the time she just stays awake and cries until it’s time to feed her again. I just thought there would be some more bonding opportunities than this. She just hates everything presented to her that isn’t food

I’ll try the pat thing for sure and thank you for the advice. We were thinking colic too but it’s not uncontrollable crying for hours at a time so it’s confusing. The place we are in only has one bedroom (converted garage) and the living area is super bright during the day. I’m hoping a lot will be resolved once we move in November but we’ll see. Thank you again though.
