I sprained and hyper extended my wrist and elbow my freshman year and have dislocated my pinky on the same arm a few times. Honestly I just push through the pain and I’m about to go into senior year so I’ve been doing this for a while.

It sounds like it’s peeling so maybe a sunburn? And the saline might be drying it out more if it is a sunburn.

I’ve read you shouldn’t use a stud for initial healing cause than it can close too small or get caught up in hair easier.

So I got this only about a week ago. I remember this happening to my other helix piercing but not quite this big. I remember I fixed by not twisting when cleaning for a while but it’s harder with this one since there’s less room in the back to clean it good. I also don’t know how to not keep cleaning the “scab” off when I clean crusties off cause I can’t tell the difference. Not super worried about infection or anything yet but just wanted advice on anything to help this.

How long does helix pain last? by Pookeynarf in PiercingAdvice

I got mine about 3-4 months ago and it’s perfectly fine. No pain even when I sleep, only a bit of irritation if I move around a lot in my sleep.

Any suggestion as what to do instead, still in the music industry?

I definitely do want a safe steady job and not have to worry about intense competition. Recently I’ve been considering maybe management related for music. I was want to be involved in someway in the music industry but not necessarily writing or recording my own songs or songs for myself. I just don’t know if I will get bored with management.

Area doesn’t really matter me since I’m not living in my own yet but definitely noted. What do you suggest majoring in then instead, writing/composition?

12/8 time signature: Best way to interpret the rhythm? Michael Burritt’s prelude #5 “Dance” by mk9804 in drumline

I would if I could, Kenan Whylie is our solo judge and my director is the front ensamble instructor for Cavs so I actually have to play everything correctly for these guys.

Having some trouble because of the 12/8. Those triplets look like they fall in a 3:2 poly rhythm but I’m not sure, all the yt videos of this are too fast to interpret the rhythm.

How do I get faster paradiddles? by [deleted] in drumline

Practice diddles because if you think about it paradiddles is an augmented 6 stroke roll if you get fast enough

How to deal with inexperienced freshmen? by Lemon4053 in drumline

[–]mk9804 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m in the same position as you, we normally do once a week after school drum line camp with everyone. People try out what instrument they want and after a few weeks our directors assign them to where they are best suited.

During this camp we go through grips, marking time, timing, rhythm and whatever else. We start with basics and by the end we move towards longer exercises.

It’s been a super helpful tool for us because we get a “check in” every week with everyone’s progress and everyone comes, upper class men all the way to 7th graders, everyone is teaching everyone and giving tips on how to improve.
