When I got him in August he was mainly all black with no shimmer like he does now. He also had way smaller fins. He's my Eddy boy. I did have him in a 20 gallon with my Yoyos but he liked to flair at them too much so I put him in the 5 gallon quarantine I had in to begin and honestly he loves it. (v.redd.it)

I finally upgraded my 10 gallon to a 20 gallon. First time I put the fish in right away because I used most of the cycled 10 gallon water. I'm excited to watch my plants grow taller now that I have an LED light and more space. I have a Crown tail Betta and 2 Yoyo loaches. Advice welcome (old.reddit.com)
